Amazing hotel. Unplanned energency overnight caused by a snowstorm. What a find! I'd give this place 6 out of 5 if the app allowed it. Beautifully appointed rooms. Brilliamt evening meal in their restaurant. Breakfast had everything you could want and more besides. Easy parking. The biggie though? The staff/owners could NOT be more hospitable and helpful. They were friendly, good humoured and went above and beyond when I locked my key ( and my dog...) in the car the day I left. Hospitality as it should be done!

Hotel had the real German town charm! Location was good, about a 10-15 minute walk to alt stadt lindau, safe streets felt very comfortable. The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful, with eggs, sausages, cereal, yogurt, breads meats & cheeses very nice, you should include this in your stay! The rooms are small but works well for 2 people in the size room we stayed in!

Arrival they had a note on the door Monday they were closes in both German and flip it around and was in English and how to retrieve our room key. Lucky a worker was outside and helped us anyway. There is no elevator for 2 flights of stairs, (we were in the 3rd floor) we just left our large luggage in the car and brought up what we needed no problem.

Nice stay

The location is very nice, a lot of green around, they ahve an amazing terrace with a very good restaurant. we had out best german dish there, so I strongly reccommend it. The rooms are clean, a bit old indeed but that's the concept I guess. The ammenities in the room are decent. The breakfast was delicious, there is a lady cooking on the spot eggs and bacon, therefore was perfect for us.

There is no hairdryer in the room...I had to ask the reception for it. Expect an old inn, not very modern.

A place to go back!

Basically everything: staff were super pleasant and nice, the breakfast was amazing, the room is beautiful and comfortable, parking in front of the place and we didn't pay for our pet. The staff was pet friendly as well which is much appreciated!

Large room with lots of storage. Quiet at night. Good breakfast and very dog friendly. The restaurant is a pleasant place to eat at night and reasonably priced. Pleasant, relaxed service.

It is an old coaching inn and has retained the original style but could do with some refurbishment:it is much the same as the first time I stayed there in 1981. There was a broken window pane in our room and no proper curtains on one window. The beds were comfortable but short for my husband and quite narrow.

Well situated hotel with free bus tickets ans bus stand in front of the hotel. Nice beergarden, but a little busy because of the traffic.

Rather expensive and not luxurious. The hotel is traditnal outside but the rooms are modern. There is no aircondition. The doors in your room are heavy.

Very helpful staff, good hotel

The staff really went out of our way and helped to make our stay here comfortable and convenient. We sent some suitcases on ahead to this destination which they received for us and helped us with when there were some shipping problems. As we had to leave at 5:30 AM, they put together a wonderful breakfast packet for us to eat on the train. We were here on rainy week days in late September and the room was quiet, clean and comfortable, although the hotel was at full occupancy. The breakfast was very very nice and in a nicely decorated setting. The train station is a 15 minute walk away which worked well for us.

The food and atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely.

Why does the shower have see-through glass instead of a wall? There is no privacy between the shower and the room. Very uncomfortable design for a hotel which is taking away people's right to privacy. Could this be expressly highlighted in the description as a disclaimer statement not to disappoint future customers?

The staff was very freindly, nice parkinglot for free. Breakfast included.

Since the hotel is located along the street and there was no AC in the room, we had a bit struggle on how many windows we should open during night. Because we could hear for sure some noises from the street. The design of the sink in the bathroom could be improved, the water easily ended up all over the place.

it would be very nice if the kitchen staff would order food refills without waiting for the plates to be completely empty (For breakfast) Also, they charge us twice for one night. We reserved the room by online. But in the morning they said we didn’t pay. So we paid in reception, and next day we checked the bank account and the money was debited there again, so we paid for the room twice.

The staff were friendly.

The location is very underwhelming. The room rate is excessive for what you get and the bathroom is extremely small. If a person takes a shower, the others can look in from the bedroom side as the bathroom „walls“ are glass.

Unbewohnbares Zimmer bei Ankunft, kein erreichbarer Notdienst und am Abreisetag wurden meine persönlichen Sachen ohne Zu

Das zweite Zimmer war sauber und es waren frische Handtücher vorhanden. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Die Lage ist praktisch.

Bei der Ankunft erhielt ich zunächst ein Zimmer im Umbauzustand (Bett zerlegt, Matratze in Folie, keine Handtücher). Das Zimmer war nicht bewohnbar. Der angegebene Notfallkontakt war trotz mehrerer Versuche nicht erreichbar. Erst am nächsten Tag bekam ich ein anderes Zimmer. Am Abreisetag wurde mir ein Late Check-out bis 14:00 Uhr zugesagt. Als ich um 14:09 Uhr zurückkam, waren meine persönlichen Sachen ohne meine Zustimmung aus dem Zimmer entfernt und im Frühstücksraum abgelegt. Ich wurde vorher nicht nachweislich kontaktiert. Zudem ist das Hotel sehr hellhörig, die Holztreppen und der Flur sind im Zimmer deutlich zu hören. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt sehr enttäuschend und unprofessionell organisiert.

Insgesamt ein guter und komfortabler Aufenthalt

Das Zimmer war sehr schön und angenehm warm, was besonders willkommen war, da es während meines Aufenthalts in Lindau ziemlich kalt war. Das Bad war modern und sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstücksbuffet gehörte zu den Besten, die ich bisher erlebt habe, besonders die Bedienung, die auf die individuellen Wünsche der Gäste eingegangen ist, war äußerst erfreulich. Und dann gab es echten lokalen Bieenwabenhonig.

Bei meiner Ankunft und der Schlüsselübergabe wurde ich eher knapp abgefertigt. Mir wurde der Schlüssel einfach in die Hand gedrückt mit dem Hinweis, dass sich das Zimmer oben befindet – ohne weitere Erklärung. Ich musste mein Zimmer dann erst einmal selbst suchen. Bei der Schlüsselabgabe habe ich nachgefragt, ob das alles sei. Erst als ich wieder zu Hause war wurde klar, dass ich noch gar nicht bezahlt hatte. Das war sehr unangenehm und peinlich.

Landhotel mit Charme

Tolle Lage für einen Zwischenstopp, da nah an der Autobahn, Parkplatz vorhanden, ÖPNV direkt vor der Tür, ruhige Lage und doch problemlos und schnell in der Innenstadt. Sehr freundliches Personal, schönes, geräumiges Zimmer, gutes Frühstück. Abendessen im hauseigenen Restaurant ebenfalls sehr lecker.

Ganz nett für eine Nacht

Nettes Personal. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Hatte zwei Einzelzimmer gebucht und bekamen ein Einzel- und ein Doppelzimmer. Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Haustür, das ist praktisch.

Beim Frühstück war das Personal nicht sehr aufmerksam. Es war nicht viel los, also gut überschaubar. Die eh spärlich belegte Wurst- und Käseplatte wurde lange nicht nachgelegt. Die Auswahl bei den Brötchen ist nicht groß, es gab eine Sorte. Es gibt aber Brot und Knäcke. Cerealien, Nüsse und Butterportionen sind praktisch in kleinen Gläsern abgepackt. Davon steht jede Menge am Buffett. Nur leider isst nicht jeder Müsli zum Frühstück. Es gibt verschiedene Säfte. Ein Gast fragte nach O- Saft, da die Flasche leer war. Eine neue wurde gebracht, jedoch wurden die anderen beiden leeren Flaschen nicht ausgetauscht, sie blieben einfach stehen. Beide Zimmer waren rustikal eingerichtet, hatten eine Dusche, die aber sehr klein bemessen ist. Für Menschen mit körperlichen Einschränkungen ist die Unterkunft eher nicht geeignet. Steintreppe führt in den ersten Stock zu den Zimmern.
