A spacious and comfortable property. Excellent location within easy travelling distance of many towns/cities and attractions.
The shower in the double bedroom had signs of mould appearing around the tray. A couple of fixtures and fittings need attention i.e. toilet roll holders need tightening.

Perfect for our family trip to meet up with relatives and explore the area. We spent a bit more than if we'd opted for one of the other properties we'd been considering, but it was worth it to all have our own ensuite bathrooms and to generally have such a spacious and comfortable house. Handy to have the village shop directly opposite, which is open till 6 every day (and even later at the weekend?) Great pub just down the road (The Lion and Unicorn). Thornhill really grew on us, a great wee village!
Nothing really.

The property is in a great location with easy access to lovely towns like Callander. There is a village shop directly opposite the property and a great pub/restaurant within walking distance. If you enjoy walking there are lovely walks within the vicinity. The rooms of the property were all lovely and beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed our stay. There is parking available at the property too.
The toilet seat in one of the bedrooms needs to be replaced.

Thornhill Lodge is beautiful. We stayed as part of a special family holiday for our Mums 80th Birthday. Perfect accommodation in ideal location. We felt relaxed and loved everything about it. We regret not booking it for longer and will definitely go back. I’ve already recommended it to family and friends. It would be my ideal home and made our holiday really special. I had only booked it on Friday morning and we arrived on Saturday. Ross was very helpful and even called to make sure that we had got all of the details we needed to get into the property.
We loved it all.
Their might be helpful to note that the three private parking spaces are down a very narrow drive at the side of the property. Thankfully my brother is a confident driver and drove my car (Audi A4) down it without any issues. There is a space at the front of the property for anyone with a larger car.
Only suggestion is that board games would be nice but really we could have bought our own so that’s only a small thing. There were plenty of books.

The house was beautiful, rooms clean, and there was an ensuite in each room. The living room was a fantastic social space. There was great communication, and responses were prompt and pleasant. Checking-in was easy, and we had a great time!

This old pub has so much history! We have family who used to drink here, and now it is a beautifully remodeled home. Plenty of space for a group or a family. Walking distance to the store or the restaurant and pub. Close to many attractions, but in a small village.
The washer/dryer combo is hard to use and the driveway is very narrow. If you have a larger vehicle, it is better to park on the street.

We loved the sunny garden, the woodburner, the spacious kitchen and luxuriously comfortable living room, but most of all the en-suite bathroom for each room! After swimming in Lake of Menteith this was very welcome. This is a great location for exploring the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and beyond, and there is plentiful secure, off road parking at no charge. There's a gem of a traditional pub a 5-minute walk down the road and a shop directly opposite, both exceptionally welcoming. This would be a fantastic place to stay in winter, well-stocked with books and TVs. We particularly appreciated Ross supplying a cot, highchair and bath at no extra charge.
We loved the house - perhaps a welcome folder with instructions for hot water etc would be even more helpful? We received very clear instructions from Ross the week before we arrived, which we appreciated very much - thank you. We would highly recommend the house and hope to return soon!

Spacious house with enough room for 8 adults. Great kitchen and living areas. Nice location.
One of the beds was old and creaked with every movement, also the mattress on it uncomfortable

The lodge was beautiful, we loved the garden, it allowed us to have a barbecue. The rooms were very beautiful and overall, it is a very cozy cottage. My friend forgot her guitar book after we left and the host was incredibly helpful and posted it over to her.
The door to the back garden didn't open so we had to go through the bedrooms to access the garden, which was fine, however, when some people stayed up later than those who slept in the 2 bedrooms with a door to the garden, they had to go around the house to access the garden.

Fabulous house , great location in the middle of a small village ideal for a base to explore Scotland.
The most helpful owners you could wish for , it was a absolute pleasure to deal with Ross and Louise who went above and beyond in helping us out last minute with a cancellation in another property.
The house is a mixture of both traditional and modern with a high quality finish and certainly a home from home
Absolutely nothing it was perfect
