Beautiful Location, immaculately clean lots of space for the family

Only one small thing we had a couple of challenges traveling to and from the villa as some (not many) taxi drivers didn't want to drive in the rural area. We never had a problem getting a taxi just sometimes we needed to call a few first Uber worked well when we used that.

Mooi schoon huisje, genoeg handdoeken/ badlakens. Fijn dat er een wasmachine is. Kruiden, theedoek, setje met vaatwasdoekje, afwasborstel, afwasmiddel, vaatwasblokje en wastablet aanwezig. Met auto niet ver van Nerja centrum en supermarkten. Dichtstbijzijnde strand op loop afstand was eind april nog niet klaar.

Zoals in eerdere review al was beschreven is de weg er naar toe vrij smal. Was nu te te doen maar denk in hoogseizoen met veel verkeer wel vervelender met veel tegenliggers. Parkeren heel onhandig om te keren met een grotere auto. Het tussendoorpaadje om naar benzinepomp te lopen is helemaal overwoekerd, niet echt begaanbaar. Jammer dat er helemaal geen persoonlijk contact is met een host om informatie te krijgen over de omgeving etc. Alles via de app.

Perfect location, beautiful villa and pool area, worked really well for the family.

The outside is absolutely lovely: - A great pool which we used daily; it was unheated so freezing (in winter) but a great cure for hangovers and groggy mornings. We're a hardy bunch ;) - There are a phenomenal amount of lovely mature cacti and other succulents. - The terrace is large and well maintained, plus there is an upstairs terrace too with great views and wash drying lines. - Great deckchairs and outdoor table under a roof. - An absolutely lovely BBQ with fridge and induction cooker where you can also cook and sit at the bar together. Ab Fab! - The house is located in an avocado grove, away from the buzz of Nerja. Lovely and quiet. - The place is safe and well fenced off. Inside is also well maintained: - There is a wash machine, large fridge, oven, microwave, kettle, induction cooker, and a dishwasher. - Lovely bathroom. - Internet and WiFi. - We didn't use the TV. - Mosquito nets on all windows. - Nice lamps beside the bed, and nice cupboards. - Kitchen has an old and new espresso machine. - There is a built in fireplace with lotsa wood provided (get fire starters) which helped us through the cold winter nights. - Towels were provided. - The accommodation was spick-and-span! Good communication with the rental agency Centrall alquileres; they were super helpful, responsive, and very polite.

The main issue here is that the beds are too small for most Northern Europeans. The master bedroom had a bed of 200x140. The other bedrooms are pokey. One has a single bed, and the other a 'double' of 190x140 Nice hard mattresses but way too small to guarantee a good night rest! The kitchen lacked proper knives (only cheap hardly usable ones). We had to buy a chopping board in Lidl too. Otherwise the kitchen is well kitted out. Apparently it is too much of an effort to leave basics like washing up liquid; detergent; dishwasher tablets; olive oil etc. for the next guests once someone bought them. A few spare blankets wouldn't go amiss for winter travelers. Google Maps doesn't know how to find this place. Either drive the narrow road (Camino de Enmedio) (slowly) from the main roundabout off the N340 or via Camino de Rio Seco (this is a doable gravel road).
