Unenjoyable

Location

The apartment was not like the photos, it may have been 20 years ago. That's about how old the carpet and drapes are. Didn't appreciate the hole in the wall or the ants or the toxic chemical smell in the bathroom, which is also the kitchen (weird). The hosts asked for a photo (of me, and not supplied) before they'd hand over the door code, but after I'd paid. This was not mentioned on booking.com and is unacceptable.

Disappointing

One block back from beach

Only 1 teaspoon supplied. Was replaced but no comms from manager. The ants in bedroom and kitchen/bathroom, ruined some food. No seaview as described. Bed was average. No blackout curtains. Kitchen was awkward and had an unpleasant smell under the sink. Nothing luxury about it. Old stairwell. 3 locks to get in.

Good value attractive and pleasant studio

The studio was a good size with a wonderful bed and a very good kitchen area. It was clean and pleasant.

The road was quite noisy but it’s Mission Bay so I expected some noise. The shower leaks a bit so there was water over the floor after showers—but the shower itself was pretty good.

The location and apartment was great

The apartment had an overpowering stench of disinfectant which took over four hours of opening up all the doors and windows to clear enough to be in. Even the next day it could be smelt.

Perfect in Mission Bay

Perfect location to shops and great cafes and restaurants. Apartment decor was modern and extremely comfortable and clean. Highly recommend

Cooktop had no instructions and not easy to use. Could not fault anything else. Was a party upstairs which did spoil one night.

Once we got our bearings we realised we were staying in a wonderful location.

There was no indication that the Unit was on the 3rd floor of a building with no lift when we booked. Whilst the Unit was lovely and very comfortable, this was a problem for we older people to handle our luggage.

A beautifully designed apartment in a great location—immaculately equipped, peaceful & super comfy

I absolutely loved this unit! Everything was so thoughtfully designed. The kitchen is beautifully equipped with high-quality appliances—even the oven stood out. It’s brand new and features the latest technology, including a fan that prevents hot air from blasting out when you open the door, and an auto shut-off timer that turns it off exactly when your set time is up. Brilliant! The bathroom was a lovely surprise too—it has two shower heads, allowing my husband and I to shower together with different water temperatures. So considerate and practical! All the kitchen appliances were in excellent condition and clearly well cared for. The washer-dryer was top-notch—we could do laundry every day and have our clothes almost completely dry, which was a lifesaver after weeks of travel in LA. The location is also perfect—just a short walk to great restaurants, a supermarket, and the beach. We stayed on the second floor and loved the large windows, perfect for people- and dog-watching while enjoying a cup of tea. The double glazing kept the traffic noise out really well, and the condensation was no issue thanks to a proper drainage setup. We’re so happy with our stay here. It truly made our short visit to the city one to remember—definitely one of the best apartments we’ve ever stayed in!

If I may suggest a small improvement: having a laundry basket would be really helpful for organizing clothes. Also, the spare blanket in the bedroom could benefit from a fresh wash.

Don't waste your time or money staying here

Close to mission Bay cafes, had a dedicated carpark, which was great as there is no off street parking available

Lack of decent heating, very dated interior, don't be fooled by the pictures, one tiny 50ml carton of milk was pathetic considering I booked for four people. Drier was broken so went to laundry at to dry our clothes. No privacy from front, had to keep blinds closed all day and night. Tried to contact the contact number, but no one answered the phone, left a message and no one responded. Disappointing considering the price we paid was like $340 a night, waste of money, Def get better value elsewhere.

Great short stay in a decent sized, well equipped apartment in a fantastic location.

Great size aparments for our family of four. Excellent location close to shops and resturants. Beds were really comfortable, kitchen was extremely well equipped.

The apartment was cold when we arrived but it soon heated up once we turned the heat pump on.

Lovely place that is really well located close to the beach and mission bay shops. Super clean and easy to get to.

Only complaint I had was that on my arrival messages it had a door entry code which we tried and it wasn't working, but then another message came through with a new correct code shortly after. They just need to make sure its clear and easy to find the entry code, otherwise, amazing stay

A nice apartment in a great location

Great communication with the owners/managers prior to check in. Nice view of the Mission Bay. Fully equipped modern kitchen. Spacious bathroom with double showers. Bedroom facing a quieter courtyard. The apartment is in a great location in Mission bay, and is very comfortable for short term stays.

A small dining table in the living room would be great to enjoy the views while having meals. Currently, the only way to eat inside the apartment is to sit on high bar stools facing the kitchen. The digital lock on the entrance made us a bit nervous, as robotic voice kept saying “battery low-replace the battery”.

Stay at Mission Bay is TOP OF CLASS!!

Hosts are very responsive and Jonathan (on-site cleaning and facilities management) was exceptional. The rooms are spotless and there is a generous amount of towels and linen to cover the duration of stay and a great starter kit of teas/coffees and milk. High-end hand wash and shampoos in the bathroom. Cannot speak highly enough of these excellent property managers and the location of the accommodation is mere metres from wonderful Mission Bay Beach, restaurants and entertainment. On site safe parking available for free and even a Lime Scooter hub! This accommodation is superb and worth every cent. Highly recommended.

Inconsiderate guests with noisy children directly above our accommodation made it quite unbearable and the property managers swiftly moved us to another room. This is no reflection on the property itself but inconsiderate guests do spoil a holiday experience when they arrive with noisy children and talk at the top of the voices or plod their feet on the floor, thus amplified in the lower unit. Shame on you inconsiderate people!!

Good for an overnight stay before starting our real holiday the next day. Had an excellent meal at the local Italian just a few minutes walk away

The instructions for entry was very confusing and also to access wifi etc. Took us 3 phone calls. Also unable to lock our door from inside so had to have a chair against it all night to give us a sense of security.

Beachside memories

Location to beach and variety of great restaurants whilst still being quiet at night inside the unit. Bed was very comfy. Some milk was in the fridge and there was a few different teas to choose from. Good coffee was close by at one of the many cafes/restaurants.

Washing maching/drier combo did a good wash but poor dry for some clothes. No manual or quick cheat sheet to show you how to use it so wasted half an hour on Google trying to work it out. Lint had not been removed from machine, and even though I tried to remove as much as possible, some clothes came out covered in lint. There was no clothes horse to dry items which could not be dried using the dryer. Windows didn't open very far.

Pleasant for short stay _ good location for my purpose.

Location close to beach and eateries. Comfortable bed : nicely appointed bathroom_ lovely towels and products. Kitchen looked to be well set up but didnt use it. Natural light. Muted tonings gave fresh, spacious look.

Outside not inviting, entry / stairs dingy/ off putting with threadbare covering on stairs, dying pot plant,cobwebs and staining around plant. Windows were all needing a clean. Large very plastic looking plants
