A casa dù Rumanu - Taormina

Location is the first point, 360 degree views of the coast and Etna. Just the crickets at night. Fantastico! The road up and the driveway are a challenge but you soon get used to it. We arrived in pitch darkness which added to the challenge. Highpoints, Etna hike up to Filosofo crater, hike up to Castelmola, Alcantara gorge, Taormina Town, Taormina Beach and the Isola Bella. Plenty to fill up a week.

Kitchen is primitive and dated, we would have liked to cook more. The garden lights didn't have a switch, we wanted temporary darkness to see the stars and thunder storm. Wasps, made it virtually impossible to eat outside during the day, but OK in the evenings. All minor points.

Extraordinaire ! Le relatif éloignement de Taormine (15 mn en voiture) est très largement compensé par le panorama fantastique, avec d'un coté vue sur Taormine et la mer, et de l'autre une vue directe sur l'Etna. La villa est parfaite, les chambres belles et spacieuses, le salon cuisine immense et les terrasses et piscine agréables et très bien aménagées. Giorgio notre hôte discret est absolument adorable et ses cannoli siciliens délicieux. A recommandé pour quelques jours comme nous (3 jours) ou pour un séjour plus long.

Mettre un verrou dans les salles de bain pour un usage partagé entre plusieurs familles.

This Villa is spectacular. Words cannot explain what a true gem this place is. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The views from the Villa are breathtaking. If you really want a place to unwind and relax this is the perfect place. The route to the Villa is not easy however it is worth it!

We loved everything about A casa du Rumanu - the villa was immaculate, spacious, beautiful & tranquil. The owners were lovely & thoughtful to say the least. We cannot recommend this place enough it was absolute paradise... seriously do not hesitate to book this accommodation!
