1. The lady I spoke with on the phone when I was trying to locate the keys was not polite 2. Poor heating system in the living room. We couldn't stay in the living room because it was cold 3. The price

Despite paying extra for early check in 'to reschedule cleaning', it hadn't been well cleaned. Tho it could sleep max 4, there was insufficient crockery and cutlery for 2, let alone 4

Bad

The door’s apartment wasn’t closing properly. The apartment was dirty and it smelled of smoke. Silverware and plates were dirty. The heating system wasn’t working. The bed mattress was completely broken through and pillows were so bad that we woke up every morning with back ache and neck ache. The bathroom sink is too tiny. The entire apartment wasn’t renovated and kind of run down, absolutely not as the pictures on booking show.

As previously mentioned, the flat is in a great location but it was very disappointing.

The location was excellent. The apartment has such potential to be a fabulous wee flat.

The flat could be fabulous if it had a deep and thorough clean and a coat of paint. It is perfectly well appointed but very tired/shabby and whilst not filthy, everything was a bit icky. My husband looked under the bed (not because he was checking but because he had dropped something) and found old biscuits and condoms (thankfully not used!) The worst thing was the smell of stale smoke, it hit us as soon as we walked in and was so overwhelming that we couldn't bear to stay in to eat so ate out every night (which defeats the purpose of staying in such a place). The smell was most definitely not wafting up from the flat below, it was from the lounge room of this flat. Upon arrival home we have had to launder everything as could still smell stale smoke. Sorry for such negative comments, we are not fussy/picky guests at all and don't like leaving bad reviews but it is such a shame as it could be such a lovely place with just a bit of TLC.

As pictured but not that great, fatigued,

Most of the facilities pictured functioned. A local shop for food supplies and plenty for anyone needing basics. A little smaller than it looks from pictures. It had been cleaned. There was a few items I'd expect such as tea, milk, soap, washing up liquid. The neighbours in the building were almost entirely quiet. Parking wasn't difficult.

The TV was only functioning via changing channel on the box. There was a remote which just functioned to switch off. The bath which was our essential was as pictured but, it could only be filled to 2cm water before the temperature went to very cool/cold rendering it to function as a very posh shower tray. I asked about it on tha app and a reply came suggesting to switch on the shower. We had. I think this demonstrated no expectation the bath would be used, or should be useable. There was town noise late at night of drunken people in the street and vehicles passing as might be expected. The space was very warm so it was hard to stay suitably ventilated and also sleep, typical of many town centres. The beds and sofa were poor quality/ comfort. It was better than camping. Adequate for 2 nights when going to a local festival, but not, I suggest, a lovely bolt hole I will return to again.

we left after an hour - that says it all!!!

it was dirty, rust all over the drainer, cupboards had more half opened food (some out of date) then cutlery and crockery, 2 bath towels for 3 adults only, bathroom door wouldn’t shut let alone lock, hair on the floor, there were sponges and dishcloths shoved behind pipes in bathroom, guessing to stop a leak or that’s where the cleaners stored their bits, thick layer of dust on top of wardrobe, walls had dirty marks everywhere, dirty fingerprints all around door handles. there was a disgusting smell around the apartment that gave us a headache. we had to open all the windows and take a trip to the supermarket to buy antibacterial wipes and antibacterial room spray. we spoke to the owner who didn’t seem that bothered. we explained we couldn’t stay there. she offered the cleaners to come round but there was no way they could have sorted all these faults. we emailed the owner and requested compensation but was then asked why we had zoomed in the the dirty parts and also got told we were bullying! in no way was this person helpful or would come to any agreement. we paid £266 for two nights, was only in the apartment for a max of one hour. we have paid less and got 100% more cleanlinesses from other places we have stayed at through booking.com

Location

The bed was uncomfortable and itchy. Instructions on switching on the hot water to shower was not straight forward. I messaged the contact number via WhatsApp and response was very bland n unfriendly.

The host was amazing she really went above and beyond for me when I had a crisis with my car and got stranded. For that reason I will always book with her she was a life saver :)

The property hadn't been cleaned properly, several hairs on the bathroom floor and bath & the bin hadn't been emptied. Other floors also had hairs on them. The whole apartment needs refurbishing & the bathroom updating. The sofa was very uncomfortable & needs replacing, the cover on one base cushion wouldn't zip on. The mattresses were very cheap and not that comfortable. A pair of curtains had a couple of stains on them. The floor in the bedroom I was using hadn't been cleaned properly either. There wasn't sufficient cutlery or crockery, only one cereal dish. Although plenty of mugs. The oven needs a good clean. The pans and oven trays were very old and need changing, I didn't want to cook using them. Loads of food had been left in the fridge/freezer and cupboards which should really be thrown away, especially in these Covid times The whole place felt grubby. The night store heaters didn't work in the lounge or the hall and no heating in the bathroom at all. The apartment was next to a main road so noisy I have several more photos but these are the maximum I am able to upload

The whole property was smelling stale and could use some air freshener or diffuser, it was very uncomfortable, the big bed was very hard in the middle and uncomfortable and the other one was extremely small so small that two people couldn't fit . The TV was not working, the bathroom was tight and small, no toiletries in the bathroom.
