Stunning view (to include from sauna,) great hike right out front, and perfect location for exploring Lofoten to the west and east.

The location is excellent for a peaceful vacation. There is a hiking nearby and Ballstad is close to things to do in the area. This is a comfortable place for two people, or more.
I usually leave glowing reviews because I try to choose more luxurious stays. However, for the price paid, there were too many issues.
1. The sauna did not work at all and when I contacted the property management company, nothing was done. In fact, the management company tried to give instructions that did not even apply the sauna. The company did not offer to come out and fix the sauna. All the company did was apologize for the inconvenience and lie that there have never been any reported problems regarding the sauna not working. (This is the exact message sent to me: Hi Jenny Peters! Than you so much for your message! We deeply apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay in our cabin. It was the first problem with the sauna, no one ever had before. We tried to help you as much as possible and we are sorry that this did not meet your expectations. If you have any questions, we stay at your disposal. Global Rental Hub)
If you are considering this property, actually look at all of the reviews on Booking and you will notice that other people have mentioned that there were problems with the sauna.
2. Windows on the second floor do not really open up to let in air - and on a sunny day, it gets very warm on the second floor as there are no curtains or window treatments.
3. There is a blown or failed window seal on the second floor, which make the left side hazy and not clear. In fact, it is a real disappointment that you cannot see through them clearly on sunny days. Look at the photo I attached.
4. The four reclining chairs on the second floor were dirty - visible dust, hair, and dirt on them.
