Holiday bungalow in Saltburn

Couldn't get a better location in Saltburn just above the beach, only steps from great restaurants, cosy pub and shops. Unobstructed view of the cliffs.

The property has been up for sale for sometime which is clear from the lack of maintenance now inside and outside of the bungalow. While this is understandable, it is also a shame for those staying as touches that, looking through old reviews, were standard. Would recommend whilst still waiting for a sale, the owners address the black mould in the shower and ensure there is enough cutlery for 6 guests. For people who are light sleepers, there is quite alot of road noise, so ear plugs are worth packing

Fantastic weekend in this beautiful beach house

Location, the views, cleanliness, the space. Comfy beds. Fluffy white towels. Beautiful bathroom. Very well equipped.

Maybe the sofas in the living room could do with an upgrade. Can I suggest possibly not quite so low. The over sixties in our group struggled a little getting off them! 😆

We got perfect weather and couldn’t ask for more! This home is perfect when you have children for access to the beach!

We stayed here before! Location is second to none! Amazing home, Spacious and cosy!

Wasn’t as clean as we would expect, windows and mirrors etc but overall didn’t spoil anything. More cutlery is needed as a suggestion and extra towels if staying a week! But that is all!

Superb Views,.nice place and location, in need of a few tweaks

The location and views were just stunning., the property inside was generally v good.

The property needed some tlc in some areas (black mould, dirty grout in loft bedroom ensuite, poor facilities in that ensuite (mirror - couldn't have a shave for example, had to go downstairs), 5 forks in the property but 6 of us staying, cigarettes stubbs left in garden for kids to find, weeds and untidy garden etc...) Just felt like lots of it was good let down by that finishing touch or caring eye to make it what it could be. And it wasn't cheap so high expectations.

Gorgeous house in a brilliant location

Really lovely house in an amazing location, spotlessly clean, super outdoor terrace and fab views

Beds not the comfiest (hard, with no spring or give). Very stingy provision of essentials like tea towels, cloths, dishwasher tabs, toilet rolls - we had to supplement all of these, and had to repurpose a bath mat as a kitchen hand towel! Also we didn’t get the check in information until very late, and had to message to request this. Host interactions were through ‘host and stay’ - my experience of direct interaction with the property owner is invariably better.

The view is what makes your stay!

The view made this property, plenty of space to relax.

Finding it initially, it took several attempts (up and down the hill), also contacting the agent who really wasn’t helpful, so.. the property is directly behind the tomahawk restaurant, the driveway is concealed so take it slow and you should find it. No lighting outside which made coming home in the dark and rain a bit treacherous, I fell and took the skin off my knee, bruised arm and leg badly. No condiments in the kitchen, sort of got used to staying in places where there is a welcome basket waiting for you, for the price we paid I would have expected at least salt and pepper.

getting into the property was difficult for two 90 year olds snd we had a disabled relative visit on one of the days. the steps are uneven and deep. could do with some rails for support.

Not much I didn’t like. It would have been helpful if there had been a gate that shut off the side of the house where there was a low wall and a steep drop. couldn’t leave the dog or children unattended in the garden as a result. a slightly later checkout would have been helpful. 10 am is rather early to be up and out when you have to organise a family.

Beautiful property, in a great location

Comfortable, spacious, well equipped property in a lovely location with some nice outside space.

Twin beds are very creaky even with the slightest movement, so sleep not great. (The double beds were very comfortable) Small round window in bedroom, it was very pretty but needs a covering as light came in in the early hours and woke my daughter

Really good location with a 3 minute walk to the beach. Great views while sitting in the kitchen / conservatory area. Very well appointed throughout and well equipped - There was even a Nespresso machine with pods supplied. Spotlessly clean. Good restaurants all a short walk away so you don’t need to use the car.

Fantastic place to celebrate with our family.

Clean and comfortable with a fantastic sea view. Also, it was great that there was milk in the fridge and tea and coffee.

The hill was steep and traffic noise was annoying at night when the windows were open. Also, the sink in the main bathroom was leaking. We rectified this by putting a plastic bowl under it.

Excellent location and lovely accommodation, would have got full marks but had to knock a few points off as the garden needed some TLC, first impressions count!! Please don’t use the swing as I sat on it and it came tumbling down so very dangerous, luckily no damage to me otherwise I would have been complaining.. but needs sorting!

Wonderful times

Setting amazing, standard of finishings are quality. 2 minutes to the beach, wonderful sun room where you can spend hours people watching.

The garden is lovely but we couldn't leave the dog out without being with them, the back fence and gates are low. They is a large gate so you can park in the garden area, this is unlocked and it can be easily opened. Would of liked to have had a mop and brush to keep the space cleaner.
