Sandside Beachfront Cottage Perfectly Saltburn

Excellent location right by the seafront. Parking was on the street but we had no problems finding a space. Property was lovely and warm.

Beds were very soft and uncomfortable, mattresses need replacing.

Location excellent - right by the cliff tops and near the cliff railway. The apartment was well furnished, with sofa/dining seats comfortable. Nice induction hob with a large fridge/freezer. Seating area outside caught the sun in the evenings. Parking was on street but easy to get spaces. Really close to a large Sainsbury's and great restaurants.

For a top price rental in the area, there were a number of minor points that could do with attention. (1) The wooden gate from the street to the property didn't lock properly and could only be opened half way. (2) The apartment smelt damp on arrival (which we managed to clear by leaving the 2 opening bedroom windows in the property and front/back doors open when we were there (lounge windows didn't open)). (3) There seemed to be water damage to bathroom floor from previous users, causing it to be soft and the laminate flooring to be debonded (we decided not to use the shower, incase that made it worse). (4) In the upstairs ensuite, the extractor wasn't working and neither was the lighting in the mirror. The shower was a very small 800x800 corner unit too (ok for small kids, but not usable by the large and older adults in our party). This bedroom was also accessed via a smaller than usual spiral staircase, tricky for my elderly parents to navigate with their minor mobility impairments. (5) The bed mattresses and pillows were extremely soft (I had back pain in mornings as the mattress didn't give enough support). (6) A neighbour's 40mm waste pipe was also leaking onto the roof of the lounge, leading to smells in the courtyard outside and in the top floor bedroom when windows open. As a side, we noticed the property was up for sale.

Location was good and within easy access to beach & cafes

Cleaning wasn’t up to scratch although I was told my expectations were too high

Outside space. Front garden unneeded and unsweetened.. unable to see the sea whilst sitting on chairs as hedge untrimmed Back yard bins overflowing and rubbish left a mess Cobwebs in kitchen, blinds undusted. Not high level housekeeping

Spotlessly clean . Had everything we needed. Right near the beach front . Very modern looked newly reburbished . Owners let us book in early. Great for friends to spend the night .

Nothing not to dislike apart from the terrible weather . If I was being really picky the fire pit outside was really small but we were all inside anyway

Very disappointing stay. Dirty everywhere, beds super uncomfortable, spiral staircase that felt like plastic, questionable electrical practices. For £200 a night this place is unacceptable
