Sandside Beachfront Cottage Perfectly Saltburn

Location was perfect

No bottom sheet on main bed just mattress protector. Spiral staircase is inaccessible for older adults or small children too precarious to upstairs bedroom. Bathroom floor had lifted and was wet near shower Bathroom smelt damp. Fire didn't work in lounge. Furniture in kitchen needed rearranging as you couldn't get round the dining table. To be fair I could have done it myself but left it as was. Smoke alarm beeped periodically. Table out front was broken 2 glass panels were missing. It looked uncared for. The whole house could do with some maintenance.

Location was great, within walking distance of beach, shops, cafes, restaurants etc The bedrooms & lounge/kitchen area were fine. Spacious, comfortable beds. Cosy in lounge/dining area but good enough for 3 adults, 2 children & a dog for 2 nights.

The frontage of the property very disappointing. Bird droppings on seats & steps. The outside table had not been cleaned & was dirty & tatty. The bbq had not been touched for weeks & the rack was rusty & grimy. Not a welcoming sight-front gate only opens slightly, needs fixing. The floor in the main bathroom has lifted where water has got into it. The ensuite shower door doesn't close properly & is very small for an adult. No mirror in main bedroom.

Good location on sea front.

Nothing to dislike.

Location was good and within easy access to beach & cafes

Cleaning wasn’t up to scratch although I was told my expectations were too high
