It was well located to the train stations.

While I read the reviews noting the noise level outside the hotel. I wasn’t expecting loud doors banging and being able to hear the next door room like they was in our room. The lack of reception and the restaurant being closed at times make it hard for communication with the staff. It took >12 hours for a reply to my question about the below concerns. When we checked in the bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied from the previous guest and other than the half a roll of toilet paper on the holder there was no further toilet paper in the room and wasn’t replaced during the room clean we had to go and buy our own. While the room was cleaned during our stay food we had left in packets on the kitchenette bench was removed even though the items wasn’t finished and wasn’t placed near the bin. This did leave for some disappointment when we returned late in the afternoon expecting to finished off the food before we checked out the next day. Also we found it strange there was only one mug on the kitchen although there was 3 off is staying and there was no washing liquid in the kitten just a empty bottle which makes me concerned how clean the cutlery was. I reached out at check out for a reply that they will check with housekeeping about the above.

Had a comfy well styled room and it was close to the station

Didn't feel safe. Big group loitered outside the door / did drugs outside the door. No staff involved, wouldn't want to show up late at night. We were also kept up til 2.30am due to a nearby night club being audible in the room on Saturday.

All in all The Yard served it's purpose which was a crash site in between two travel days.

That is was a nice room for the money. It was clean and cozy. One of the lights in the bathroom wasn't functioning and there were exposed wires coming out of the ceiling.

That this isn't really a hotel but just 5 rooms on the first floor of an apartment building with a Chinese restaurant attached to it. There is no staff, no reception desk, no facilities and just a kiosk down an alley way that you used to check in. Travelers beware, if you don't have your booking/reservation# with you, you will not be able to check in and allow the kiosk to dispense your room's key card. Luckily we print out all our travel reservations so we had our booking/reservation# handy.

Quiet area near to city center. Big room and comfortable bed.

There were no staff! We looked for the remote to the a/c but could not find it. The kitchen is small but it would be nice to get an actual table and two chairs in there. Current bar chairs and table shelf is a bit hard to use solution.

Nice airy rooms and good value for a family

Nice big rooms with nice decor. A market appears on Saturday over the road. The Chinese food in the restaurant down stairs is amazing. Near a supermarket and walkable to old town and the HB train station. Main bed was nice and big

Perfect room for a stopover.

Great location close to central station - stayed as an overnight stopover so ideal. Large bathroom. Room had been set up ready with additional requested beds (mattresses on floor).

Comfortable room, but poor maintenance and location made the stay disappointing.

Check-in via the machine was quick and easy, and the room itself was spacious with a very comfortable bed. I also appreciated having a coffee machine, and with the windows shut it was very quiet. The property felt secure with access behind three entry doors. The proximity to the tram and supermarket was perfect.

The location felt a little unsafe and dirty at night, which made coming back to the hotel uncomfortable. The room itself had several issues: the safe didn’t work and was only battery operated, shelving was broken, and room service only came once despite the information stating it was daily. The bathroom window also lacked proper glazing at the top, meaning people in the building next door could see in, and the external shades didn’t seem to function.

Great location with definitely areas to improve

The location of the stay and connection with the centre is good. The cleaning of the room was okay although the bathroom was a bit worn (the walls in the shower for example). The room had a good size for 4 people.

There were some issues that not being critical, made the stay slightly worse. The access to the venue is not the nicer. The entrance is through the background door and due to the restaurant it smells a lot to the kitchen. Also, the entrance area is quite dirty. Some of the towels were worn, actually one was torn! And the walls in the shower were chipped in some areas. The main bed is okay, but we choose a room for 4 pax and the sofa bed is horrible. One of the worst beds we had in all our different stays in Switzerland, so I recommend to avoid sofa bed there.

When I checked in there was someone in my room, the person who was supposed to check out that morning, he decided to go back to the same room as he lost his flight and it was an unpleasant surprise for a girl traveling alone to find a guy in her room. It seems the hotel didn't realized, that left me wondering if the rooms are not properly cleaned by staff as no-one went that day. Also on Mondays there is no staff, neither everyday mornings and they don't speak English, it seems that it's a Chinese restaurant's people who are managing this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel.

Good location and apartment was secure comfy, creative and unique. Kitchen excellent. Fully electronic check in.

Shower screen door kept closing on us and no room to stand in shower, and hairdryer provided didn’t fit into plug. Had some trouble checking in early and accessing bag storage from restaurant which opened 2 hours after we arrived.

Barely satisfactory- no Wiifi disappointing & it didn’t feel safe at night

The cleaner did a really good job of keeping room tidy and the air conditioning was great.

Forget about WiFi in this place it simply did not work, which was really annoying as everyone needs access to WiFi . Very dodgy area, poorly lit with lights at entrance in the evening which was unsafe as on two evenings there were gangs clearly scoring on drugs at the entrance/ door, which was intimidating and scary. Thankfully I was with my partner, but there is no way I would even nip out to the shop on my own from this accommodation.

Convenient, clean, comfortable, easy!

Excellent location, air conditioning, soundproofed well, easy check in. Keep in mind that this is not really a hotel - it's a couple of rooms above a restaurant. You check in via a machine outside the door. We had no problems at all with this process! Just follow the instructions.

The entrance is in a pretty dark alley way and there was a lot of rubbish around the door. It looks sketchy outside, but the room itself is clean and modern (although basic). This was not the fault of the hotel, but there was a very loud music festival going on outside until past 1am. The room is very well soundproofed, but nothing would have kept that noise out!

Good relation of cost againg value when we consider what the prices of accommodation in Zuerich are.

Location is close to the Central Railway Station, not too far from the old city and the lake. Rooms are simple, but clean and pretty fine for that price in the centre of Zuerich.

Self-service Check-In terminal was not able to process my check-in (and it was not a matter of my lack of patience, as they write in the message you get before you come), so I had to go to their restaurant which is just next door. And they did the check in manually for me. Luckily I arrived when the restaurant was open, I do not know what I would do when coming late. Then they could not issue an invoice before my departure, but I got it by email another day, which was fine.

Cleanliness and facilities provided. It had everything for a room. Location is great with a lot of restaurant options nearby.

AC didn't work the first day but they fixed it later. Although they said they will clean the room everyday upon request, they missed cleaning our room for a day. Entry to the rooms area next to the restaurant is a bit shady. Entry to the rooms location needs to be improved.

It is only a 10min walk from Zurich Train station. The are has lots to places to eat Main square from in front of hotel has a farmers market on tue & fri. Shower is good with bodywash & shampoo provided

It was a meh... stay

A short 20 minute walk from the station. Bed was comfy and bathroom had everything you need.

Very difficult to check in on self check in maxhine, when restaurant the hotel is attached too is closed you have to use a self check in machine down an alley. This didn't work and had to call which took around 15 minutes to get to into the hallway to recieve the key. Beware of the alleyway, I went down to collect food we ordered and there was a woman injecting herself with drugs outside the door. Not what you want to see, I know the hotel cannot control this but if it had a proper reception this could be eliminated. Only one pillow each on the bed and the duvet wasn't big enough to cover the whole bed, perfect for single occupancy but not enough for two. Would only book again at a last resort, it would be worth spending more to stay somewhere nicer.

Great location, right in the middle of the city, 10 mins walk from Zurich HB. Good option to spend a night, have a look around the city. The staff person helping us out was very kind.

The place felt quite subpar. The floor was quite sweaky, soap dispensers were empty and jammed up. We were a family with 2 rooms booked including the studio apartment - it's kitchen lacked washing up liquid, enough spoons, bowls. Lights were flickering. There weren't enough towels either, but we also didn't ask afterwards.

Very big confortable bedroom. There are many restaurants and bars in the area.

There is not an actual reception. If you arrive early in the morning in Zurich there is no chance to leave your stuff since the restaurant downstairs is closed. Price is expensive for what you get but it is a fair price in Zurich.
