Great place, but cleanliness has seriously declined

I personally like these apartments and this is my third stay here. The location is convenient, and I really enjoy the retro vibe. The apartment has everything you need, including a sufficient amount of kitchenware.

Unfortunately, the apartment was very dirty. There was old, built-up grime everywhere: the bathroom fixtures, hairdryer, all kitchen cabinets and appliances, light switches, and even hair left on the bathroom tiles. It feels like only the most visible surfaces and the mirror were wiped, while everything below eye level hasn’t been properly cleaned since at least the end of the season. The bidet is leaking, and one of the towels was torn. The owner should seriously consider changing the cleaning staff.

Rustic but a bit run down with a very nice stuff.

The location was very good, the beach is a 5-6 minute walk, bakery 1 minute down the street, small shop 3 minutes, several restaurants, bistros and bars nearby. The cleanliness was okay, there was a sufficient amount of bed linen and towels. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped. The internet was super fast, although the modem name in the description was not correct, this was somewhat misleading, but fortunately we figured out the solution relatively quickly. The staff was very nice and helpful, in case of a problem they took immediate action 👌🏼 Despite the description there was no microwave, but as soon as we reported its absence, they got one. There was some confusion about parking. There are only 4 parking spaces for about 9 apartments. Therefore, parking is on a 'first come, first served' basis. But luckily we were always able to park on the street.

The building is old, perhaps because of this the windows/blinds of the upstairs apartment were very old, rickety, some of them were almost falling apart. The interior doors were all warped and stuck. The sofa could really use some upholstery cleaning. Despite the fact that the apartment was on the first floor, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen and on the terrace. The cast iron furniture on the terrace was very rusty. Although there was a mini washing machine, we preferred not to use it because it was completely moldy, it stank even after we disinfected it ourselves. The silicone around the shower tray was completely moldy, it should be replaced. Although the building is on a quiet side street, unfortunately the railway runs one street up, even at night. Because of this, it was impossible to sleep with the windows open, because it was very noisy and disturbing in both bedrooms. But it is possible that this is only so disturbing in the upstairs apartment and not so much in the ground floor apartments overlooking the courtyard.

Great option, perfect location, but so bad sound protection.

The location is really good. As well as the apartments. Everything is fantastic, except for noise protection.

Sound protection is absolutely horrible. You can hear every word from your neighbors. All listening to the TV show together. So be ready for that. Maybe some plugs can help.

Exceptional Stay

Everything was perfect, you have a little cozy house for your own in a quiet part of Trieste. The self-check-in was super easy and we found a free parking spot on a side street 1 minute of walking from the location. It is really close to the walkway near the sea and we found an exceptional pastry shop with outside terrace nearby. We had everything we could possibly need, the place is spacious and very interesting with that interior stair and roof windows. Everything looks rustic elegant, we would definitely want to come back here and stay more than a night. Outside there is a garden where we could smoke.

We did not like the communication with the owner. He did not give any information about the key and parking spot before our arrival. I had to call him through the roaming and that was expensive call.

I can't say that I am fascinated by the place. The owner is too slow to respond to messages, there was a problem with the hot water, it was not cleaned well/the trash can was not cleaned/, the air conditioner was not working.

Very strange but good design of apartment and the yard.

We had to call the owner, he didn't left us the code, not answering on messenging on booking app, not meeting us in person. Where you sleep there is no bathroom and you have to take it downstairs every time.

Our host, whom we didn't meet, could have been more proactive in providing information regarding * getting in to the property on arrival. * not using stove and kettle at same time to avoid electricity tripping. * where to leave keys on departure. Flat was a bit cold (mid-April).

Neat and tidy and close to the seafront. Everything you need for a stay is provided.

It was noisy because the walls between the apartments are not sufficiently insulated. So you can hear people talking and walking around. The stairs in our apartment also creaked really badly.

Great maisonette, really fortunate to get a booking.

The Design is great, looks as good as the photos(shared it with other architects in my family). Loved that it was a renovated historic building. The sky lights work to bring light to the back walls. Compact Kitchen has essential utensils. A/C really works, and fan over the bed was an added bonus. Great location, we drove in from Aquileia. Easy walk to Miramare, grocery stores nearby. Did I mention parking was included!!! Such a value.

I would still return and recommend, but here's my nits... 1. Noisy children next door. 2. Mosquitos 3. Unnecessarily complicated wifi pass word

Lovely place close to the beach

The location is perfect, very close to the beach and the main road, yet it is quite silent. The apartments are cozy and stylish, and also spacious. We were working remotely during our stay, so it was a bonus to have a workstation and actually two additional tables and chairs.

Good value of money

The apartment is located in a calm street but still very close to the sea, the lungomare path, many restaurants and bars, etc. Miramare castle is accessible by bike or by public transport easily. The flat was perfect for a one night stay very good price-value ratio. I was really happy that bikes are freely available to use. The kitchen is also well equipped.

Parking places of the apartment (on the street) could be indicated better, I was not sure where to park first. It is super that there are bikes freely available, however, they could be maintained/repaired from time to time. There was a bit strange smell (or old furniture?) in the room.

Very stylish and excellent location

It looked very nice. The garden was very beautiful. We found everything we needed and more. The location was perfect.

The wifi password was unreasonably complicated. The floor was creaky in the bedroom. Furthermore, the bed was not very stable and together with the creaky floor made it hard to sleep well.

A perfect base to explore Trieste and its surroundings

The location is almost perfect. Right next to viale Miramar and Barcola promenade. Very easy connection to Trieste with the bus. Plenty restaurants near. The apartments have a lot of Flair and the yard is beautiful.

The walls could need a little bit more soundproofing (one can hear everything in the neighboring apartments), but as a vintage building this might not be posible. The beds could also be softer.

Very cozy and romantic place. Beautiful fireplace and great window over the bed can make possible fall asleep watching stars. Great ambient combining old fashioned style in a modern key. Owner very helpful and friendly. It's possible to go easily to Trieste's center by bus, by feet or by bicycle ( it's possible to borrow them at reception). Great district with many beaches and easy access to the sea. Fresh and cured garden.

Modern loft in a former winery

We had a great stay at Le Residenze dei Serravallo. We received really friendly and professional service, and a full page of excellent personal recommendations that we used as our guide for several days. The apartment itself is in an interesting historical building that was previously the Serravallo winery. The street is quiet with a bakery 50m away, and a grocery store 5 minutes away. The waterfront is also about a 5 minute walk. The reserved parking spots were really helpful.
