Lovely little hotel

Great little hotel. Very clean. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Good location.

The Perfect Bali

Our stay here was absolutely perfect, a beautiful room, great pool and delicious breakfast. The staff are a credit to the villa and Bali.

There is a bit of construction going on next door but this can’t be helped by the property.

Good deal

I had to book this hotel last moment and I was very much satisfied.

the only thing it is a bit noisy due to lizards screaming outside, but other than that I didn’t hear any other. It is a bit far from the main activities, but about 7 minutes by bike to yoga barn

A charming place with lovely breakfasts

Gefecon Villa is a little quirky. It is a bit away from the main part of Ubud and feels rural.. The rooms were a good size and the view from the balcony was great. It has great artwork through out. The breakfasts were lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly.

As it poured with rain the 4 nights we stayed we had to taxi in and out of the main part of Ubud - and the traffic was terrible making the trip 30-60 minutes. The sheets, while clean need replacing.

Welcoming staff with amazing food and modern facilities

Very lovely staff! So warm and welcoming from the very beginning. They were so helpful in booking activities below market price and checking in on us. The breakfast was so so delicious and varied. I tried 4 of the options during my stay and all of them were so good (especially the banana pancakes!). You can tell it’s all made on request so it’s warm and fresh, no packet food. The room was spacious and clean and give you complementary drinks and snacks in your room everyday. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Bali.

Not the hotels fault, but the surrounding area has quite a few stray dogs which could be intimidating but will find similar all over the island

Friendly staff

Very friendly staff. The manager knows we are Malaysian, let us try her own farm's durian as welcome fruit and dessert for our 2nd days stay after we came back from our tour. Other staff also friendly. Good breakfast prepared by the staff

Totally loved our stay at Gefecon. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and spacious and looked out onto the pool. The breakfast was served to the balcony of our room and there was a variety of options which were all delicious.

Place to stay if you want some nice private place

The villa itself is amazing, but the main asset of it is its people who are running this place. Rita makes the best nasi goreng in the entire ubud. My wife is vegetarian and she was struggling with food in general in Bali, but never had any issues with breakfast. Exceptional service overall and real desire to help.

Spacious clean room, big comfy bed and great shower! Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was tasty. I liked how the breakfast was made to order and delivered to the patio at a time of your choice.

The location, although I like a quieter area this was just a little bit out of the way and took about 30 mins to walk to monkey Forrest and about 50 mins to ubud market/palace. Normally this wouldn’t bother me as I like to walk but it’s not the most paved area so it was quite dangerous to walk.

I loved staying at Gefecon and would definitely come back again.

The best aspect of the place is the amazing staff that work there. They try their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I found the deluxe room to be very spacious, bright, clean, and with amazing view. My stay overall was very enjoyable and I would come again.

I wouldn’t recommend the standard rooms if you care to have a view and care for the brightness of the room. They are very spacious and clean but I find them a bit dark and depressing for my taste.

The staff was super friendly and helpful especially Ardana was there to assist us with our requests: he went above and beyond expectations making sure we had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was genuine and super tasty

Lovely villas and very helpful staff

The villa was great - a generous size with a big sized bedroom, a dressing room area, a bathroom with bath and shower and outdoors we had a seating area and balcony. Everything was very nicely decorated, in good condition and very clean. Breakfast was very nice with real effort put into the presentation. The best thing about the place is the staff though who were so friendly, smiley and helpful. The cleaning staff went above and beyond too - nicely tidying up things we'd left a mess.

It was in an area that looked peaceful but was surprisingly noisy, especially in the mornings. Most days we were woken up by 6am due to what I think was religious calls/music coming from the temple, or by agricultural machinery. All the windows are single-glazed so quite a lot of sound gets through.

Overall a great place

Great location short walk to shops and restaurants, staff are wonderful and friendly The pool is great with a view of some rice paddy. The room was a good size with a nice outlook.

The bathroom had a horrible damp smell that you could smell throughout the whole room, the staff tried their best to get rid of it but it still lingered.
