Ikoi

Het gaat niet om grootschalig hotel maar klein verblijf met geweldige gastheer. We konden ook genieten van een heerlijke avondmaaltijd en Japans ontbijt, alles was met heel veel liefde klaar gemaakt.

Alles was in orde

Good and comfortable for 8 people stay in single room.

We expect more variety of food but they have only single menu which is same for dinner and breakfast.

The staff were so friendly and happy to help in anyway, even if they didn't speak very much English. The free breakfast was delicious and prepared for us when we requested it - our favourite was the steaming hot rice pot with vegetables and a fried egg. The room was comfortable with a massive flat screen TV and heating, which was perfect for the cold evenings. Even though it was in a quiet part of town, the location was great for exploring Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji as it was much closer. This meant we could get the bus at 8am in peak season without having to queue.

As it was out of town, there weren't any restaurants around so keep that in mind. However, the staff were keen to prepare us dinner for just ¥1000, which included miso soup, a hot meal and a beer.
