Fantastic friendly hosts, room & breakfast just right, perfect for a couples weekend getaway.

The hosts were fantastic, very friendly and very helpful with our very late check in, after 11pm due to flight delays into Rennes. The breakfast was perfect, fresh, just right and hot beverage of choice. Loads of room for parking. The room was warm, very clean and just right for a weekend stay. They also let us pay full price for another night due to the airline changing the flights home to the Monday morning, rather than the original sunday night flight.

The main reason I booked this Gite over other gites / hotels in the area was on the basis that it advertised twin rooms, This was most important to me, as it was for two grown men. ( my two younger brothers ). Upon arrival, that was not the case, there was just one double bed, The host said he would put another bed into the room, when i explained the issue. This was just a childs travel put up bed, way too small for an adult, with wheels on ... As the host was so polite, the room clean & warm, my brothers decided to just make do and take turns in the kiddie bed..

The stunning feature of this visit was the wonder of the building and its interior decor. Breakfast was similarly outstanding, and the friends we met then. Yes a very pleasant stay indeed.

The only negative I can think of, in common with so many places in France, was that the water in the basin simply flowed in and out again before you could use it! Why do the French use these unreliable contraptions?! A simple plug is so much better, but I suspect the visitors steal the plugs. . . !

Perfect family room outside Bagnoles. Amazing breakfast!

Location was good for us, nice 30 minute walk into the town. Lovely choice of restaurants, we ate at La Terrasse which was great. The family room, decor, bathroom very tasteful. Breakfast was amazing, beautiful fresh products and the children loved the pancakes and bowls of hot chocolate! Hosts were super friendly.
