Résidence b'o cottage - b'o resort thermal & spa

Our family had a fantastic stay at BO cottage. The apartment is spacious and well-equipped, we appreciated the convenience of having a kitchen at our disposal, especially when travelling with kids. One of the highlights of our stay was the swimming pool area. If you're looking for a family-friendly getaway, this place comes highly recommended. We can't wait to return for another memorable vacation!

Bathroom sink was broken for the first 24 hours. Plates and glasses were very dirty.

Great for families and enjoyed the trails from the hotel into the woods.

The food in the restaurant needs improving.

I book this hotel as a base camp for Normandy exploring and was excellent , good size room , great pool area , nice little town within walking distance , overall great stay for what I was looking for , good price too I didn't read reviews before booking , which I did after and I was bit conscious, turn out , staff speak english , they were nice and helpfull and some people putting reviews are just strange weirdos

To note , in fact there is no other TV chanells but French , I just checked as I don't watch TV it didn't bother me at all, funny thing with WI FI , my companion phone worked fine ,my didn't , but I had my mobile internet which worked fine, so agan not an issue for me

This was our third time staying here so we are obviously satisfied with the accommodation and staff.

We had dinner on one night which wasn’t very good chicken was undercooked and several items were unavailable for the sweet as we had booked a later time and there were items which weren’t replaced. However in mitigation there were only 2 staff serving tables and I think they were run off their feet as the restaurant was exceptionally busy that night.

The location The village was beautiful.

Room very sparce and clinical, not comfortable. Layer of dust on everything including kitchen utensils Hotel very dirty, hadn't been hoovered in months it looks like!.. The spa thermal baths were ridiculous. We spent £800 on 2 afternoons there and the treatments we had were terrible. I'll give an example... 72€ for a clay wrap....they covered my stomach and FRONT of my legs for 15 mins....the worst treatments I've ever had in a spa. AND the receptionist was so rude, we were definitely treated differently by her to how she treated others at the spa, the second day we went in she even blanked us, we were the only ones that didn't get the welcome package also. We tried to enjoy the experience and tried to be friendly to the receptionist, but overall we felt completely ripped off. The spa had a vibe of a commercial business getting you in and out as quick as possible and treatments done as quick as they can. We have done thermal spas on the continent before and have felt the benefit after, the only thing we felt this time was a hole in the wallet. Such a shame because the setting is absolutely beautiful.

Our family had a very cozy time. We felt warmly welcome from the start and greatly enjoyed the facilities and the area.

Restaurant only open for two hours (2x1 hour sittings) and bar non existent

Location was good. Room was quite large with basic cooking facilities. Outdoor space was nice.

Room furnishing was very tired and in need of updating. Corridor leading to the room had signs of damp. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke from a service area off the corridor. probably used by staff as a smoking area. The evening meal was not up to 4-star standard, especially in France. Exterior lighting outside the main entrance was non-existent. I don't expect to have to use a torch to find the way to reception. Better information needed for non-french speakers. Internet did not work at weekend when hotel was busy.

Unable to get anything to eat as restaurant was full as it was to small for the size of the resort and no bar to get a drink. Told to get alcohol and food from the town and we could eat it in the lounge area.

Pool was absolutely lovely. Room size and balcony were really good.

On the forest side of the hotel it’s very noisy from early hours of the morning till late at night. Use of kitchen is a bonus if you want to save money but you need to clean it very well to not get charged €35 fine. There is no cleaning products so you need to purchase them yourself. Bathroom lacks a shower mat so you end up using your towels to clean the water (it’s a wet room). Also staff is not cleaning your room throughout your stay but not having a dustpan and brush makes it difficult to clean. You need to empty the bins so be aware to have a walk to the car park to sere gate your rubbish. Extra towels you need to request in the reception. Also keep in mind you will pay additional tax on top of your booking and safety deposit but only from a credit card.

Nice spacious apartment with well appointed kitchen. Excellent pool. Relaxed family friendly place. Great location for Bagnoles de l’Orne which is a lovely town.

Restaurant and bar area are not appealing. They could make this nicer and use the large terraces

The room was a small apartment- ground floor with access to garden/grass. Good equipment and fine beds. Car parking next to the building, safe environment. Lovely green surroundings with the village at 15mins walking distance.

The hotel lacks “atmosphere” - in essence it is a large chateau-like new building which needs to develop character.

The lady at reception. In fact all the staff we encountered were really helpful. The swimming pool was amazing. We were with 2 kids ages 7 and 4 and the kids pool was separate to the main pool so we didn’t feel that we were ruining anyones spa experience

The food in the restaurant was very tasty, but there wasn’t a huge selection, especially for the children where it was just nuggets and hash browns, and the restaurant was very hot it could have done with some fans maybe?
