Dinuda Lagoon Hotel

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "We had a lovely experience at Dinuda Lagoon Hotel. The peaceful lagoon surroundings created a relaxing atmosphere, and the rooms were well-maintained and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The food was delicious, and the views were breathtaking, especially during sunset. We would definitely visit again!"

The property was clean, well maintained, and located in a convenient area. I especially liked the spacious rooms, good facilities, and the comfortable atmosphere, which made it a great place to stay

Overall, the property met my expectations.

The staff at the property are so kind and do their best to be helpful. For the price it’s great value. Only Nuwa speaks English so you have to find him anytime you want something- I felt bad always having to ask him for things. There is always food available if you ask for it. If you want drinks in the evening probably best to ask in the morning because they don’t keep that stocked but they will go out to get them for you. The location was very quiet when I was there, at all the hotels I went to for meals there was hardly anyone. This may be due to the season or the war. That made transport difficult so you may need to ride a bike or be willing to walk in the heat as uber/PickMe don’t work. The AC and the hot water worked well. The bike they rented me for 1000 a day worked well. The room was comfortable.

The WiFi didn’t work well so I ended up using my ESIM. There were two nights when local people had parties at the hotel (which is great!) but the parties were in front of my room (not so great). If you want a quieter room ask for the rooms near the garden not the lagoon. The garden rooms get less breeze and have more mosquitos but are quieter. They also offer a day pass for local families so the pool is often full of fully clothed people and children which is not an issue on its own but does mean the pool can get quite dirty and be unusable till the next day. Also there are no lounge chairs- so if you like to lay out this isn’t the place for you. I don’t know if this is a cultural thing but they only put a blanket and a fitted sheet. I’m used to having a top sheet and I did in other places. No big deal but a bit odd for me, I used the sleep sheet I carry with me.

I would have scored higher but as they were doing repare work after the storms, it was a bit of a busy with builders, who to be fair were polite and helpful. Food and staff were excellent.

The pool was more of a plung pool, not for swimming.
