Agro Village Resort , Kalpitiya

We chose Agro Village for our kite surf vacations and we stayed there for 6 days. We found this place lovely regarding the location as it is located only 5’ away from Kappalady lagoon. The cottage offers rental options on fair prices so transportation does not have to worry you. The food was really tasty as everything comes straight from the nature (papayas, bananas, coconuts, eggs) The stuff was really kind and helpful with everything! The whole resort is located in a palm tree field so you literally live in the nature. As we decided to travel in the main land for the rest of our vacations, our hostess arranged to send us our kite surf equipment straight in the airport the day we had our flight so we were able to visit a lot of places without carrying the board bag with us. We highly recommend this place if you want to feel and taste the authentic Sri Lankan vibes of the nature and the kindness of the people as well as for kitesurfing activities in Kapalady lagoon!( TIP! When you go to Kapallady choose the KITE BUDDIES school instead of others because this place has the best vibes all around Kappalady plus they offer you assistance for only 1500Rs per person (pumping your kite, trimming your bar, launching-landing your kite, rescues if you need it), plus they have a coffee shop if you want to drink your espresso and have something to eat!

De locatie ligt op 10 minuten fietsen van het strand en de lagoon om te kitesurfen. Het zwembad is heerlijk, de kamers zijn prima. Een ruim 2persoonsbed en genoeg kastruimte. De koude douche went ook. Het is echt een locatie om te kiten, beetje bij zwembad in de mooie tuin verblijven.

We lazen reviews over super vriendelijke eigenaar maar die hebben we amper gezien of gesproken. Dat was jammer. De kok was de hele dag aanwezig en heeft ons super geholpen maar door beperkt Engels konden we niet veel vragen of overleggen. De locaties ligt op 15-20 minuten met een tuktuk naar restaurantjes voor ‘s avonds en pick me werkte niet altijd. Diner bij de locatie is prima om te doen zodat je niet weg hoeft.

We really loved our stay in Agro village! The people were so nice and kind and made everything to perfection also for our child and baby. They did special meals every day without spices for the kids and very tasty stuff for us parents. Especially the pool area we loved so much as it is just lovely to swim in such a quiet place under the palm trees 🌴 It is a bit out of town but for us it was just beneficial as therefore it was also really calm and quiet.

Set in a peaceful location and simply decorated, the property was clean and exactly as displayed online. The room was spacious with powerful a/c and lovely private balcony. Great value for money. We loved the free bikes!

A few more creature comforts would have been nice - cushions for pool loungers, decor in rooms etc. it was very difficult to communicate with the staff as only the owner speaks English. A proper coffee machine would really elevate the breakfast experience.
