Great location, and parking but rooms disappointing

No breakfast! Many staircases to room ,poor fire safety, poor lighting so difficult to do makeup or shave. Very poor old shower. Overall poor value wouldn’t stay again or recomend.

Everything was very good - staff friendly and helpful, room warm without being too hot. Location excellent and easy to park etc Room was spacious and very clean.

Beautiful building, poorly staffed.

Nice and clean.

No one on reception manning the phones when we arrived, waisted 20 mins trying to raise someone to let us through the barrier. Had to leave the car at the barrier and try to find someone. Eventually found a member who went to find a member of staff, overall we waisted half an hour trying to check in .Not good enough Also why do they not offer breakfast as they obviously have catering kitchens?

It is part of the Yacht Club, the atmosphere is lovely and buzzing. Very attentive and friendly personnel. The location of the Club is very central to Hamble with quick access to waterfront, shops, transport. I greatly enjoy my stay there.

I wasn't happy. I was tired from a long day working on my boat, and the room was not relaxing.

The room was visually pleasant with light brightness which made it fell less constricted, the bed was comfortable and I slept quite well.

The room was tiny and very constricted. It was in the roof space with the walls/ceiling sloping inwards from about 1m up from the floor and small dormer windows. The bed and furniture were in the only spaces where there was headroom. I was always worried about banging my head, and I'm only 5'2". It would have been really dreadful if my husband had been there too. The shower enclosure was also too small, and had no where to put toiletries. There was a small corner shelf but it sloped forwards so that bottles fell out. There was a halyard banging on the flagpole outside. I was too tired to ask for it to be frapped, so I slept with the windows closed. This was rather poor form for a yacht club. It was a windy night but none of the yachts were noisy. I think the room was very overpriced. I understand that it's a desirable location, and the rooms are almost always booked out, but I felt it was wrong to rent such a room to non club members who would expect something more comfortable at that price.

Very poor service & value for money. If you’re going to say you’re a hotel then have reception staff who are trained

Location is perfect

No staff available at times when needed most. Took 11 minutes to get a response at the barrier to allow me to drive into the car park. Room provided very small and with constant noise. Had to ask to be moved but no staff on reception to deal with complaint. When I returned to collect key for new room again no staff. When I searched around for someone they told me to call the number on the note on the desk. There was no note and yet again we had to wait for someone who could provide a room key to appear. Room was dusty and only one window would open. No food facilities available.

Only stayed for 1 night to attend a family birthday party. Only wish it had been longer. Stunning location- right on the marina. Immaculate throughout. Excellent nights sleep.

Rather expensive for room, more paying for location

Room had great view. Location was beatiful with great food places and pubs in walking distance. Free parking on site.

Accommodation in room 9 at night was very noisy as doors banging constantly and adjacent carpark noisy when pubs close. The shower is more like a dribble of water and runs hot and cold without warning. Plumbing needs sorting as dangerous and someone will get burnt.

Centrally located with parking

Second visit and no information offered. Is there a bar or residents lounge? Room was very hot with small opening window. Drain smell from bathroom but to be fair it may have been due to prolonged spell of hot weather. For the cost of the room you would have expected breakfast and shampoo/shower gel to be provided.

Location - excellent Staff - in hotel very friendly and helpful

Room - very small under the eaves and if six foot or over pretty dangerous. Shower didn’t work NO hot water. Not acceptable and no seemed to be able to fix it! Lack of breakfast also not very good Pretty officious man in the car park.

Great place to stay if you love your yachting.

Beautiful location and great view of yachts from the bedroom. Hamble near the yacht club has some lovely pubs and restaurants.

The room was quite small and my partner banged his head on the wall/celinig. Also they didn’t do any breakfast.

excellent stay in a converted historic building

Excellent room in converted cottages at side of yacht club, with a wonderful side-view over the slipway and harbour at Hamble. Side-door access made it quick and easy to come and go, and enjoy the beautiful village. So good to stay in a historic converted building that is part of one of the best built environments I know. Nice staff too.
