Fantastic Air Conditioning even in the heat wave it was super cold with two wall units for the large space. The apartment was well maintained and with nice kitchen and great shower.

This could for some people be a positive, however for me the foam mattresses were a little firm. All three mattresses (both the large super king and the two single beds on the loft space up the stairs) were new and of the same make and seemed good quality. It was also helped a little by sprung slat bases on all three beds however the foam itself is best suited to those that like a firm feel.

The location was great! Our building door opened right onto traffic on a narrow street that had shops and restaurants. Directly across is a Hotel with a nice big restaurant for breakfast. Either direction we took, there were more shops and restaurants! Any place we wanted to go, was walkable. We walked from the train station and to the train station from the building our apartment was in. However, if the owner hadn't been watching for us, it would have taken longer to find. Our apartment was on either the 2nd or 3rd floor, but there was an elevator for the luggage. This place was like a castle, parts restored, parts being restored. We felt very safe within the stone walls and behind the heavy doors. I chose it because it had a washer (and dryer, even though most of our clothes were hang to dry). Our patio was nice, but we weren't there for any meals to enjoy it. We were out and about from early until late! All around it was a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay, with the owner showing us where to go and marking it on a map for us.

We had a light above one of the bathroom sinks to go out, and before it was fixed, the other one went out. We were left with a short, one small bulb, lamp, which put out just enough light to get toothpaste on the toothbrush. Not enough for fixing hair or makeup. We like 2 cups of coffee each, in the mornings while getting ready to go out. We were given two pods for 3 mornings. It would have been nice to have had more pods of coffee.

I booked the 2-bedroom flat which is spacious and good value in Florence. The location is great and the flat has everything you need. Both staff we interacted with at check-in and check-out are kind and helpful. Luggage storage at check-out is particularly helpful for allowing more time to explore the city.

There is some odour in the bathroom. TV remote in our flat was misplaced but staff was helpful in replacing
