B&B Pika 48

This is a superb place for exploring Naples. The host is incredibly nice and so helpful! I had an early flight and he said there was no problem with leaving my luggage a lot before check-in time. He didn’t need to accommodate my needs, but he did! He also gave me touristic information. I could have breakfast at the nearby Cuori di Sfogliatella, just some steps away. It was a coffee (cappuccino) and I had a chocolate cornetto. The accommodation is in a flat in a huge building with different blocks. The place looks a bit old and run down from the outside, but nothing to do with the inside. There is a small and ancient lift, but it works. There are a few steps till the door of the lift as well. The B&B is a flat converted in 4 or 5 rooms, so there is not a real 24h reception. However, everything is explained well through Whatsapp and the host received me, saved my luggage and gave me the keys. The door opened with a code that was provided on arrival. The room was quite spacious and the view was of the interior courtyard, more silent. The accommodation is basic, but very clean and functional. The double bed was super comfy and the air conditioning worked well. There was a kettle and tea provided, but no mug. Also, water in the small fridge. There was a TV and plenty of plugs, including some USB connections. A stool, a chair, a desk, a waste basket, two small bedside tables with lamps and a rack with hangers for the clothes completed the furniture. The bathroom had a fantastic shower with sachets of toiletries. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom and a bidet. Everything worked well and I had no problem at all. The location is perfect if you arrive by train or by bus from the airport. The hotel is just 3 or 4 minutes walking from Napoli Central and Piazza Garibaldi Stations (and super close to the Porta Nolana Station). It had plenty of eateries nearby and the historic centre was just 10 or 15 minutes away by foot. The metro stop is also next to the station.

All good! I had read scary stories about the station area at night, but I had no problem when I came back alone after dinner. You just need to be aware like in any other big city. In summary, a great price, a lovely host (that makes a lot of effort to make you feel welcomed) and a very good location. I hope that I can go back here when I am in Naples again.

Very clean and smart once you got inside. Had everything you needed. Comfortable bed, nice shower. And located close to the station.

The blue lights on the electric sockets! So bright at night, difficult to get to sleep without an eye mask.

Very convenient for Napoli Centrale Station. Good air-con and fridge. Easy access.

There was a lot of rubbish on the street outside which may put people off.
