Minimalist luxury

Almost everything. The pool, bathrooms and comfortable bed. I loved everything about this place. Kitchen fully equipped and Minimalist concept. Love the fruits during breakfast. The service was amazing. Starting from everyone at reception to the housekeepers. They are really good kind people. I love how they were willing to go the extra mile

Only that they didn’t have a restaurant onsite where one can sit, they only do room service. The spa should have more treatments like facials.

Wee bit isolated from the main town. They do offer a shuttle into town (10mins away) but on pre-determined schedules which timing wasn't great for us with young kids - but option for pick up or taxi is available for a cost. No restaurant on site so food options and quality limited but still fine - couple of nice places to eat near by too

Great stay at Sativa, Ubud

We have taken 3 villas. One with 4 bed room and other with 2 bed rooms. The pools of 2 bed room villas are well maintained. The pool in the 4 bed room villa needs better maintenance. The room are well decorated and maintained. Especially the bathrooms are built very artistically. The villa location is not very far from the town. As we travelled by hicar, we do not have to worry about the location proximity to town etc. The breakfast is average. Not many options, will do for morning filling. The location is accessible for delivery by Grab. Hence we ordered food for evenings, which worked well too. The staff is very prompt and courteous. They arranged vehicles for all days and the drivers too were very prompt.

The staff are very strict with certain things like taking signature of the receipts the moment we come out of the car. Its not a good thing that you a bill the moment a tired guest comes into the villa after a long day of travel. You can keep the bill there and just inform to sign later. Also counting each and every item (plate, towel etc) makes the experience more restricted. No one takes the plates or towels for personal use from the resort. In this business, its important to not give such experience to the guests.

Fantastic service throughout our stay.

Firstly a massive shout out to the Manager Nuyman and his fabulous staff. Everyone was super friendly, attentive, chatty and always had a welcoming smile. The private traditional style Balinese villa are kept spotlessly clean with a delicious complimentary breakfast served in your villa. You can also have the luxury of having lunch and dinner served to your villa, which we did a few times. Food was of a good standard and a decent variety to choose from. Club sandwich, chicken salad and mie goreng were a favourite of ours. The mattress, pillows and bedding are 5 star quality. They provide the required toiletries and a bonus; a proper hairdryer! We’d informed the hotel that we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We arrived to our villa and found towel art on the bed, a pretty bunch of flowers and a rose petal bath! On our anniversary day, we opted to stay in the villa for their romantic package. Couples Bali massages in the comfort of your own room followed by a delicious meal, candles and flower arrangements in the pool. We can honestly say that the service we received was impeccable throughout our stay.

If you plan to spend a lot of time at your villa during the day perhaps don’t book before Nov 2025 as construction work next door till then causing noise. If you plan to be out most of the day it won’t impact you.

Ok stay but could have been better

Dining chairs & couch were dirty. Kitchen cupboard under sink had previously had a leak, had yucky damp smell. Breakfast was VERY average. One piece of bacon come with American Breakfast.. Had a discussion with staff over mini bar. We were charged for items that we didn’t use. Brought our own supplies in. Unfortunately there was no manager onsite. This was done over phone with staff member & manager. I ended up paying for pringles & water. Was disappointed it ended like this, especially when the cost was only $6 & room was $1000 per night. Swimming pool had lots of sharp tiles. Our kids got slices over feet & hands (doing handstands).

The hotel arranged pick up from the Airport , The Driver Kadek was waiting for us ,and drove us to the hotel , very pleasant informative and humorous guy ,we also used him for the half day tour and the return trip to airport , a recommended Driver. The Staff at the hotel were very attentive and very pleasant , special mention of Budi and Nyoman (i hope i got that right) Breakfast was excellent (served to the villa every morning). They had shuttle services to ubud palace and arranged pickup too , back to the hotel and had lots of recommendations on what was available to visit and see

The villa Orchid was beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our requests as we had infants with us. We requested to extend our stay at the last day and they were happy to do so.

I love the location of this place. Staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful.

I like that there are options for vegetarian/vegan food provided in the menu. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. I appreciate that they did the daily turn down services and mosquito spray was being provided. Pool was well maintained and cleaned everyday.

I would love to have more hanging hooks in the bathroom for guests to hang their clothes. A writing desk and an armchair in the bedroom will make this property a perfect place. Last but not least, the wall plugs should be upgraded with USB port for gadgets and luagage rack in each room will be a plus point to the villa.

The Rooms were very spacious and the property is surrounded by lots of greenery and is very quite. A perfect place to relax. Hot & Cold water was available around the clock. In house food menu was very good and very delicious.

The quality and presentation of the food at Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner was excellent. The staff was very humble and caring and very forthcoming with suggestions to make the stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Property is surrounded by rice fields and many small restaurants all around

Exceptional

I can't imagine there is a better villa near Ubud. We chose this one because it was just 5 minutes outside of the hustle and noise of central Ubud, so it was a peaceful oasis, yet very close to town. The staff...especially Dody and Wayan were so gracious and helpful. The villa is spotless, spacious, and very private. The breakfast and other meals were very good, they arranged a wonderful driver for our excursions. We loved this place!

Excellent villas and great hospitality

The best staff ever !! Most helpful, humble and courteous staff who attended to our every request. Budi, Dudi, Ayu, Dayu, Komang, Niti and the housekeeping staff are an asset to Sativa villas and we look forward to meeting them again. The food is great to and good value for money. The location is excellent and very close to the city centre. The staff are happy to arrange taxis whenever you need them and also run free shuttle services to the city centre several times a day.

It was a pleasant stay. The staff were excellent with the kids and they made sure that we as a family were having a good time. The villa was well maintained and comfortable.

A full length mirror was missing. A few pool toys for kids. the villa was slightly away from the town center - there are pros and cons for this, But overall the location is fine for what it offers.

The staff was very helpful, polite, and welcoming. The space was very large and comfortable. The breakfasts were served promptly and were very delicious. The atmosphere was peaceful.

At times the WiFi did not work. As an elderly person with problems with mobility, I did have difficulty going up and down the stairs, but it would be no problem for a younger person.
