For our first trip to the Far North with our Aussie friends, having water views and a great location were key factors in selecting where to stay. As soon as we arrived, we knew we'd made the right decision. The bach has a charm of its own with its mismatched crockery, glasses, and comfortable couches, and reminded me of childhood summers spent in New Zealand. There's no need to turn on TV when you can simply sit on the deck and enjoy the scenery. The only downside was the BBQ, which we didn’t use as had seen better days. The bach is private and located between two beaches, one is perfect for swimming and surf casting and the other for launching your boat. James provides a document full of helpful details for your stay on the Peninsula. We loved our time there and plan to return. Did I mention the view? It is gorgeous.

Very nice location and view. I felt it was overpriced, 1000 for 3 nights. No wifi, bbq is very rusty and unusable and deck is small. Also poor selection of DVDs, no information for visitors most places have, small TV. None of this would matter if it was reasonably priced, but if you are charging premium price, make an effort. It's a cute little cottage, but is really not worth 300 a night.

The view was indeed incredible - nearly all of Doubtless Bay is at your feet. But the couch was uncomfortable, the stove and utensils were sticky, and there was mold in the shower stall. Wi-Fi is not available.

The property is great for families and has everything you need. It is only a short drive or walk to several beautiful and safe swimming and fishing beaches. The views were wonderful. We took our own fans as the property has no fans or aircon and can stay pretty hot at night.

Our family had the pleasure of staying at Patia Point View for three nights, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The views are absolutely breathtaking—pictures just can’t capture the stunning scenery. Waking up to that incredible landscape each morning was a highlight of our trip. The living space was very comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a day full of adventures. We especially enjoyed the nostalgia of watching some classic DVDs in the evenings; it added a cozy touch to our stay. One small area for improvement would be the water pressure and heat control in the shower - we couldn't quite figure it out. Overall, our experience was wonderful, and we would love to come back! Thank you for making our family getaway so special!

Beautiful spot, we enjoyed our stay. No complaints. We had two kids in the bedroom, our twins on the fold out futon in the lounge and us in the main room. If you are staying you'll need to bring everything in terms of cooking condiments, oil, spray, tomato sauce, glad wrap, foil etc as there is nothing in the pantry, and no cleaning products available in terms of spray and wipe. Clean little Bach with all you need to make your stay comfy. The view is priceless! Great base for exploring, amazing beaches nearby and within a reasonable drive. Take away close by that serves great fish. Place was clean enough, hooray for a glass shower and not the dreaded shower curtain. Water was nice and hot. Fridge is nice and big. BBQ was good with a view to die for when cooking on it. Beds were a bit uncomfortable and we ended up sleeping on the mattresses from the sleeper couch. This is a 2 bed place not 3 however we made it work. This is a great place to stay, James was easy to deal with and we are grateful to have shared this special place. Will be back.

A true basic Kiwi batch. Amazing view made up for anything missing. Unable to walk to the beach. Limited cooking dishes for catering for a family of five. Pull out couch odd for seating but ok with cushions on the floor for sleeping - this is not 3 bedrooms.
