Cottage was comfortable and in a quiet location. Host was very easy to communicate with and was very helpful at providing all necessary information before arrival.
Minor criticism would be some of the appliances such as the oven are a bit dated.

All of it, property was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Viv and Martin were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help. Plenty of parking on site, situated out in the country but close to Stranraer for shopping etc. Instructions given to us for finding the property were detailed and accurate making sure we found it without problems.

Was comfortable , clean and well stocked.
When looking out the cottage window 2/3 of the window had a view over looking the hills but 1/3 looked on to a brick wall . When you stepped out the door you were right on to the wall and the other two cottages would have to pass your window so felt I had to keep the blinds drawn over as when they came out stable cottage they had to walk directly to elm cottage and cross the stairs right outside our door which were loose and noisy. Although it wasn't a big problem for us as we were the only ones there from the Saturday until the Thursday so only a couple of days we had to share the doorsteps. Wouldn't put me off using the cottage again but some people might not like it everyone passing there window. The shower was very small if you were bigger than 16/18 think it would be a bit of a struggle to use it comfortably.

Rural location but close to Stranraer for shops etc. The lack of mobile signal reception wasn't a problem and made for a relaxing break.

Found at a great price!
Looks bigger in person than shown in the pictures.
Lovely remote location and is still roughly a 10 minute drive away from the harbour/beach, shops, and civilisation.
It was a cosy ground floor cottage with everything you needed.
Everything was very clean and smelled fresh.
Friendly owners, there if you need them.
Beautiful view of the nearby horses out of the kitchen window.
I would definitely stay again
You are told the wifi is bad and there are spots in the cottage in which it works, but I never managed to connect to the wifi the whole time and had no connection for celluar data either, but that's not the end of the world.
Would have liked blackout curtains for the really bright early mornings, but again, not the end of the world.
We couldn't leave anything in the conservatory/sunroom as the door wouldn't lock, better safe than sorry.

The cottage was very cosy and peaceful. It had everything we could possibly have wanted, including well equipped kitchen, TV with loads of channels for cosy evenings in, a fab shower. It was spotlessly clean. I have never been in a holiday home as clean as this was. Our hosts were really lovely, friendly and helpful The location was beautiful and though it was away from it all, we were still able to walk into town (good exercise). The cottage has a small conservatory looking onto a courtyard which was a real sun trap.
The cottage could not have been any better for us. It was perfect!

Location and parking was good, the hosts were lovely but the property could do with updating.
There was a musty smell when entering the property.

Comfortable clean cottage in excellent location for exploring the area. Friendly warm welcome from host. Access to garden.
We were pre warned about intermittent wifi so it wasn't much of an issue - we were able to download prior to arrival.

Lovely quiet location but near enough to walk to town. The layout and design of cottage ,comfortable and user friendly. Good mattress. Well equipped kitchen . Very clean and well maintained. Excellent value for money. Off road parking.
We were lucky to have sunny days and the curtains in the bedroom let the light in early .

as a solo traveller the owners came and said hi to check in and make sure I was ok which was very nice.
lack of washing machine but owners willing to help.
As someone without a car the property was a bit remote, 40minute walk to the town centre.

Property was very clean and hosts were lovely. Lovely location in between Portpatrick and Stranraer in beautiful countryside. No central heating, but the heaters were very good and kept us toasty warm. Lovely little porch to sit in, which was lovely and warm in the sun even if it was cool outside (we stayed in The Stables).
Needs a better wi-fi package and a bigger TV in our opinion, but then we did go for a rest rather than out and about everyday. Would certainly stay again if going to that area so it wouldn’t put us off.

Beautiful location! The house was easy to find and the facilities were fantastic! The added bonus of the playing field for the kids was so nice to have on hand.
We had been pre warned about the Wi-Fi not being great due to the location so had an idea it wouldn't be great but with a teenager who lives on her phone it was a shame. Other than that everything was absolutely amazing!

Brilliant location if you have a car. Stranraer is a couple of miles away for food shopping, and south is some fabulous little towns like Portpatrick. The scenery was amazing, and the cottage is very near the Southern Uplands Way walking route.
To be honest I would struggle to find any faults. We couldn't work out how to work the heating to start with, but the owner helped us out no bother.
