Remote, peaceful get away

The pod was great, exactly as advertised. Very cozy and fun. The location and view are magnificent. The extra storage space and fridge in the shed next door was a great idea. Bed extremely comfortable. The extra cooking facilities like the toaster maker and barbecue were extremely useful and we used both.

The price per night is expensive but it was the Easter weekend and last minute booking. Only real beef with was the barbecue grill looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the last time someone had used it.

Good stay, good weather, very neat pod, good hosts

This is a small, very well equipped, self-catering pod; a few miles out of Gairloch, up a single track road beyond Big Sand. We arrived in driving rain and strong winds. The owner Mark met us with the key. The pod had all that we needed. The bed is very comfortable. And we had excellent weather - unusual for the west coast.

The size of the pod required us to be extremely tidy !

Cosy, nicely furnished, well equipped - the bed was comfortable, towels and bedding were excellent. Scenery was beautiful.

Lack of easy storage in the pod, a very long way from shops and sadly the weather was poor so no opportunity to enjoy the full potential of the location.

The pod was clean, hosts were friendly and it has stunning views of the Isle of Skye. You can walk down to a beautiful, secluded sandy beach.

Exceptional

Loved the breathtaking views, the peace and quietness. Was amazing to escape our hectic life for 3 nights. Loved how the sheep just roam around the cliff sides and the single track road. We took the glass bottom boat trip lasts around 90 minutes was good. One day driving back along single track road to Shiskine pod we were lucky enough to see some dolphins jumping out the water. Hosts were very welcoming happy to leave us to our own but were always on hand to help or just chat. The pod was honestly spectacular so clean had everything we needed for our long weekend, if you need to connect to WiFi it was a fantastic signal, Gairloch it's self we struggled for phone signal but at the pod it was great we're with Three network.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shiskine Pod and would love to come back again

The pod is very cozy and snug, but had everything we needed for our stay and more. It is beautifully appointed, the bed is more comfortable than in some hotels, kitchen was well equipped and the shower room was very good. The surroundings are very beautiful and quiet, there is access nearby to a fantastic white sandy beach at the foot of the cliffs. The hosts, Mark and Maria, have been immensely helpful with providing useful local information before and during our stay, and put in place everything we could possibly need. They also make sure the place is kept clean and tidy, with all Covid-19 precautions in place. And the cats were just adorable!

Cannot fault anything. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed it very much.

Just spent 3 great days here. Would highly recommend. Pod is very clean & has everything you need for your stay. Location is beautiful with amazing views. The owners are friendly & helpful but also give you space to enjoy your break away (even got to meet the cats) Giving current circumstances all Covid-19 precautions are in place.
