Raasay Holiday Cottage

The property is in a great location very peaceful. The house was well equipped clean and comfy beds . The shower was great . Communication from the owner was excellent. The book in the house gives details of anything you will need including all the local fly fishing information and who to contact . It’s warm and cosy . My husband particularly liked the weather station . I liked the internet radio had a really lovely sound making it a very relaxing stay .

Quiet location off the beaten track. Well provisioned accommodation which was comfortable and clean. Great comms from the host.

The cottage was clean, tidy, efficient, catering facilities were excellent, you did not want for anything. The view and silence, out in the wilds.

Carefull of the midges.

Cottage was beautiful and extremely well equipped. Location absolutely stunning with breathtaking views. Quite remote but ideal for those of us who enjoy getting away from it all. Excellent communication with Peter, the owner, who was very accomodating when our friends also decided to visit for a few days. Would absolutely recommend.

A beautiful part of the country to get away from it all.Raasay holiday cottage was presented to us in a spotless condition .The cottage was equipped with every thing you could possibly need for your stay including many board games jigsaws etc.The view from the sitting room are to die for looking across to Skye and Stornoway. You can also take a 2 minute walk down to the beach for a walk along the pebble beach and watch the stunning sunsets.I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone and will definitely be returning in the future.

I couldn't find anything wrong with any part of our stay every thing was perfect

The location was about 6miles from the nearest shops. I knew this before i went so i took supplies. I liked the remoteness of the cottage, there were other cottages nearby but none that infringed on my privacy in any way at all. The first morning i woke up the whole area in front of the cottage was filled with a herd of beautiful deer, it was just turning light and they were a beautiful sight. The cottage itself was very comfortable and the two leather sofa's were very comfy indeed, i don't normally fall asleep on sofa's but i did on these ones The telly was large and had a great reception with Netflix and many other channels. Most importantly the whole cottage was immaculately clean. The water was always hot and the shower was powerful. The log burner was a real treat...easy to light and a beautiful addition to an already lovely large living room. I can honestly say i needed for nothing...the owners had thought of everything and the cottage was very well equipped. They also had filled a tall bookcase with a selection of books that catered for most tastes....and there were lots of different board games for a rainy day. My hobby is photography and Raasay cottage is an ideal location for this...there was lots of wildlife, lovely beaches nearby and i was also treated to an amazing display of the northern lights two nights running! The wifi reception was very good too....that's something that can be very dodgy in that part of the world as i'v discovered in the past when staying at other properties. The owner wasn't on site buit telephoned me as soon as i arrived to check i'd settled in ok, he gave me his mobile number and told me to ring him if i needed anything. The information pack in the house covers everything and explains how to use everything very well. All in all i had a fantastic stay at Raasay cottage and would go back in a heartbeat. I'll be highly reommending it to my friends and family.

The cottage was very modern and furnished to a high standard The views from the cottage over the sea to the island of Skye were spectacular.

It was in an area which was quite isolated but there were other houses in the vicinity.
