Brilliant location, peaceful and quiet. Views were lovely. Cabin was cosy and warm. Everything that we needed was there. It was spacious and the kids had a brilliant time. Alan was a great host and very accommodating.

Location was fine as it was near my brother's house and we were attending a Communion on the Saturday.
The house was clean and tidy and warm and the shower was really good. It was a quirky cottage and its quite big for the size. Adequate room for four people.
The kitchen was equipped for what we needed for our stay.
There are security cameras also, which is good as its quite rural. Very quiet area. Would need your own transport but its close to village by car.
The bed in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable. We could feel the springs in the mattress. The mattress in the bunk bed wasn't comfortable either. I would recommend changing them and keeping in mind, that customers want a comfortable night's sleep when holidaying. Its of no use going on a break, to find that you cant sleep comfortably at night, so getting a mattress that you would sleep on yourself is a guide.
We were glad we were only staying two nights to be honest. One or two of the white towels had black marks on them which shouldn't be case at all.
The wardrobe in the main bedroom had no hangers either to hang any of our clothes which was unusual and because we were attending a communion the following day, we really could have done with them.
Finally, my son who is very inquisitive, lifted the rug under the kitchen table to find a hole in the floorboards with little ants crawling. Thankfully we didn't see any elsewhere in the kitchen, but that should also be addressed immediately.
I would recommend addressing these issues as the cost to stay was not cheap and I felt it was not value for money. So for charging €260 per night self catering, these issues really need to improve in the lodge.
