Superb

What a unique, gorgeous little haven in the countryside outside Galway - very relaxing overnight. Perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing and travelling. Very comfortable beds, very comfortable livingroom area, excellent shower, plenty of parking space and a beautiful serene atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit.

Location was good. Very clean cabin. Check-in and checkout was very fast, before we came, the owner send the instructions and it was all smooth. They even recommend the best restaurants nearby. We will definitely come back next time.

Nice cottage with potential but issues need to be addressed to justify the cost to stay per night

Location was fine as it was near my brother's house and we were attending a Communion on the Saturday. The house was clean and tidy and warm and the shower was really good. It was a quirky cottage and its quite big for the size. Adequate room for four people. The kitchen was equipped for what we needed for our stay. There are security cameras also, which is good as its quite rural. Very quiet area. Would need your own transport but its close to village by car.

The bed in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable. We could feel the springs in the mattress. The mattress in the bunk bed wasn't comfortable either. I would recommend changing them and keeping in mind, that customers want a comfortable night's sleep when holidaying. Its of no use going on a break, to find that you cant sleep comfortably at night, so getting a mattress that you would sleep on yourself is a guide. We were glad we were only staying two nights to be honest. One or two of the white towels had black marks on them which shouldn't be case at all. The wardrobe in the main bedroom had no hangers either to hang any of our clothes which was unusual and because we were attending a communion the following day, we really could have done with them. Finally, my son who is very inquisitive, lifted the rug under the kitchen table to find a hole in the floorboards with little ants crawling. Thankfully we didn't see any elsewhere in the kitchen, but that should also be addressed immediately. I would recommend addressing these issues as the cost to stay was not cheap and I felt it was not value for money. So for charging €260 per night self catering, these issues really need to improve in the lodge.

This house is very cute and cozy, we liked the spacious living room for spending time together. It is clean everywhere, towels and bed linen are available. We also liked that the kitchen has coffee, tea, sugar, cereals and even spices. The bathroom has a full set of toiletries.

The bathroom door does not close and the blinds on the window are broken. the oven is also very dirty and not working.

Wooden house in the middle of nowhere!

Wooden house in the middle of nowhere! A not bad wooden house far from the road in the middle of nowhere. There is another house nearby - a smaller one, but there was no one there with us. This house is suitable for those looking for privacy. The inside is quite spacious and basically has everything you need.

The TV worked terribly. It was connected to an antenna that did not pick up the signal well. I haven’t seen such antennas for 30 years. As a result, we spent the entire evening fiddling with the antenna and were unable to see anything. The water heating and heating systems are interconnected. If you turn off the heating, the water heating also turns off. In general, we felt a little creepy and uncomfortable staying in this house. But this is our personal feeling. Ultimately, this house is not worth the money they are asking for it!

Quiet, private setting, great hosts.

Very comfortable accommodations. Suitable for a family or small group of friends. Easy communication with the hosts. Facilities themselves are complete and we found all we needed, except for what's listed below.

There was no WiFi, which our group needed. That was my mistake to not check more carefully. The location is also quite remote with not much to do in the area. This makes for a very quiet location.

I did not get the key code until after I left a hotel with wifi. I had to turn my phone on at a $10 fee. The water piping was loud,. The beds were uncomfortable. 1 outdoor chair for 3 people... I could go on

EVERYTHING. The hosts could not be more welcoming and the lodge itself was breathtakingly beautiful. The surrounding area provided beautiful landscapes for a sunrise cuppa tea. The lodge is perfectly positioned if you want to travel to both Galway and the Cliffs of Moher.

We loved our stay! My family has a similar cottage/lodge back in Michigan. It was a real joy to share a little taste of my childhood with my children. The lodge was clean, and comfortable. We loved the setting and the wildlife signs.
