The cottage was comfortable and clean. The location had stunning views of the Burren with access to trails right from the driveway. The locals were amazing including our host Anne as well as Peter and Nina at Mountain View Horse Centre! O’Donohue’s pub has the best seabass supper with lovely folks serving us. We hope to return soon.

The cottage was impeccable when we arrived. Check-in couldn’t have been easier, as it was entirely up to us when to arrive and check in. The host, Anne, was extremely welcoming and friendly, which seems to be characteristic of the Irish along the west coast. She responded immediately to inquiries, so we were never left wondering. The cottage has a little guest book with lots of great information on local pubs and restaurants, the sites, and the fascinating history of the area. The house itself is very charming, with all the modern comforts while still retaining the character of the local architecture. And finally, for anyone who appreciates the countryside, the wild coast along the Atlantic, and literary and historical traditions, this area is perfect for a relaxing and fascinating sojourn. We can only highly recommend the Fanore Cottages.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The cottage feels very authentic and kind of old. The location was in the country near the coast. The area is beautiful!Ann was a wonderful host. The plumbing was a little wonky. There was an extra energy charge when we checked out which was unexpected. It was not a lot, but just unexpected.I would recommend this if you want to experience the Irish country and coast.
