Very comfortable, in a stunning location.

Breakfast is a very comprehensive spread of breads, fruit, cereals, meats, fish and cheese, and boiled eggs are offered separately. Rooms on the front of the hotel overlook the canal and market place, and on the landing is a keg of cold beer, a fridge with other drinks (for sale) and tea making facilities. I found the bed very comfortable and heating is very easy to operate and very effective. Reception staff speak enough English for general purposes. Food in the restaurant is traditional and extremely generous.

In the very center of this old town, Breakfast is served in house next door in a historic restaurant. Very good breakfast. Modern and very clean and comfortable room. Very nice!

Fantastic location in a lovely town.

Comfortable and clean with lovely welcoming staff and a good breakfast. The location is excellent right in the heart of the most wonderful and interesting town. The building is a bit creaky around the edges and that is part of its charm. There is a lovely open self service bar area on the landing which is a very nice touch.

Poor wifi connection which we rely upon being from overseas.

Lovely hotel

The breakfast was nice and the staff was friendly. The room was very clean and modern. We had a view of the marketsquare, it's very pretty. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but we didn't make a reservation so we couldn't eat there, but the staff pointed us in the direction of a nearby Greek restaurant where we ate very well. :)

A lovely small hotel!

The rooms had everything that we needed. There was even a coffee machine in the room and a kettle and coffee machine in the little „Teeküche“ in the hallway. We had a family room, which was made up of two double rooms a small room with a toilet and sink as well as a separate room with a shower and sink. This is a great idea! There was plenty of storage space in the bedrooms, the beds were comfy and the rooms were very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good - the breakfast area was really nice. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We didn‘t eat at the restaurant as we mistakenly thought that there wasn’t anything vegetarian on offer but there actually was. So we missed out on that - it would have been great to have eaten in the dining room at the back of the building. It looked like something from a castle! The restaurant also has table next to the canal with a nice view over the square.

Wonderful place to stay in Friedrichstadt

Great location. Lovely room overlooking the main square. Free parking in front of hotel. Nice restaurant on site. Modern, clean and spacious room. I love the non-slippery slate floor in the bathroom. Every hotel should have this. Nice desk and comfortable chair in room.

I don’t walk very well, and there were an awful lot of steep steps to negotiate. As with many hotels, I really object to the plastic sheeting under the regular sheet. It makes sleeping a sweaty and uncomfortable business. Only one pillow was provided which went very flat under my head.

Modern and cozy hotel in the heart of Friedrichstadt

Recently modernized rooms, everything was cozy and modern and clean, we really liked our stay a lot; the hotel is located just across the market square of Friedrichstadt. Good selection at the buffet.

The owner and the staff was not very friendly, a little bit like the teacher at school that you didn't like.

The central and scenic location was perfect, the on-street parking easy and breakfast excellent. We also enjoyed an excellent evening meal in the attached restaurant. The COVID arrangements were well organised and efficiently administered, effective without being intrusive.

Good but could be better.

Location of the hotel was excellent. We had a very nice view of the city center from our window, and it was quiet at night. Staff was quite helpful and precautions for the pandemic were sufficient. The room was clean and well-decorated.

Although the breakfast was good for me, there were not many things for my wife (vegan) to eat. More vegan and bio/locally-sourced options might speak better to next-generation customers. As I stated above, the room was clean and well decorated, but certain problems made enjoying it difficult. First of all, pillows were not of good quality, which really reduced the sleep quality. Also we wanted to ventilate the room at night but the room was quite quickly invaded by spiders. I had to kill 3 large-ish ones personally. I think providing better pillows and installing fly nets could be of great help.

Pleasant stay in a beautiful little town.

Great location, off the main square and by the canal. Nice view too. The restaurant gets busy in the evening, to get a table on the terrace book in advance.

Although the staff were friendly, the place was clearly understaffed - this is not a place for anyone in a hurry. The room was a little small for the price.

Wir haben uns in Friedrichstadt und im Klein Amsterdam sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt.

Uns hat das Frühstück sehr gut gefallen, vor allem der Service, ein frisches Spiegelei zu erhalten :) Die Auswahl ist für uns mehr als ausreichend gewesen, frisches Obst dazu, gute Säfte - für uns war es perfekt.

Ein kleiner, für mich persönlich negativer Aspekt, war die mangelnde Beleuchtung im Badezimmer - aber wie gesagt: mein persönliches Problem. Beim Auschecken hatte ich das kurz freundlich angesprochen, das kam aber nicht so gut an.

In Friedrichstadt liegt das Hotel direkt in der Nähe eines schönen Marktplatzes neben einem Kanal. Wir hatten ein großes Appartement mit Kaffeemaschine und Sofa. Die Möglichkeit am Kanal zu sitzen und zu essen und dass mit dem Blick auf die berühmtesten Fassaden der Stadt zu schauen waren einmalig. Der Frühstücksraum war wirklich gemütlich.

Die Lage war perfekt, gleich am Markt. Alles fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war superlecker und sehr reichhaltig. Der historische Frühstücksraum allein lohnt schon einen Besuch.

Frokosten er deilig med utsikt til torget og de vakre kanalene. Middagen som blir servert i restauranten er virkelig en av de bedre vi har spist på vår vei gjennom Tyskland. Vi har hatt en overnatting flere ganger.

Fantastisk hyggelig hotel i centrum

Fantastisk morgenmadsbuffet med fisk, pålæg, ost, frugt, æg ( der var smiley på) osv. Dejligt udvalg af glutenfri brød. Imødekommende personale. Skønt værelse. Hyggeligt atmosfære og virkelig god beliggenhed lige ved centrum og markedsplads.

Sehr schönes kleines Hotel in guter Lage.

Super schönes kleines Hotel in guter Lage am Marktplatz. Sehr nette freundliche Mitarbeiter. Zimmer sind mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Nespresso-Maschine auf dem Zimmer. Im ersten Stock befindet sich eine große Minibar. Hier kann man sich sogar ein frisches Bier selbst zapfen. Wie gibt es das sonst. Sehr gutes Restaurant nebenan, gehört zum Haus.
