Such a warm, welcoming stay — we’d happily come back

Natalia and Igor were super friendly and helpful. We were in town for a wedding and needed some sewing supplies which they kindly had! Breakfast was our favourite, and the whole vibe of Rockleigh Place was really homely and beautiful

An outstanding place and wonderful hosts

Natalia and igor are just the most amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble, they clearly take huge pride in their home and what they do and we felt that from the greet to when we left. Outstanding beautiful home, our room was gorgeous, everything you need, the gardens, the sun terrace the breakfast was 10/10

Everything was absolutely perfect, they are the perfect hosts and I have never stayed at a place so clean. They were helpful in giving recommendations, charging my car was such a simple process. Spacious guest house with warm hosts in a location convenient to many of Cornwall's attractions.

Room was excellent. Recently redecorated. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean and the shower easy to use. Access to the main roads around St Austell was a big plus and made day trips along the coast particularly easy.

Location was very good tother Eden project and Charles town. Food was very nice. Owners were pleasant.

Unfortunately we were in a back room where the window wasn't very big so the room felt quite dark and the air flow was minimal.

Spotless and beautiful place to stay.

Everything was super clean, showing how much the host cared about making the place feel welcoming. They paid attention to the little things, like the cute decorations and tidy spaces. The garden was a highlight, with its bright flowers, trees and a cosy seating area where we spent time relaxing and had dinner. It was the ideal spot to take a bit of time off. Getting a good night's sleep was no problem at all, thanks to the comfy bed with soft linens. Overall, every detail of our stay was put together to make it a memorable experience.

Stunning Cornish B & B

Rockleigh Place was such a great find. Extremely comfortable, clean, and welcoming. Breakfast was outstanding. Our hosts were helpful and welcoming. They have renovated this beautiful victorian house to a really high standard. Highly recommended. Location very convenient for Eden Project and Heligan Gardens as well as many more.

Everything. Elegant, stylish but still homely guest house with stunning gardens and every need anticipated. The attention to detail was remarkable - hands down the best guest house we have stayed in anywhere in the world. This dynamic husband and wife duo have certainly found their calling. Super comfy QS bed, lovely linen ... best nights sleep. Great bathroom and fantastic breakfast. Free parking.

Beautiful property with wonderful hosts and breakfast

The Hosts were very welcoming and organised with obvious pride in their wonderful property. Our apartment was spacious and bright and the decor calming and quaint. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the area quiet at night, setting us up nicely for a good nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was executed perfectly with high quality produced and the breakfast room lead onto some lovely outdoor space with pretty flowers and a beautiful view of the St Austell coast. We utilised this property to see an act at the Eden Sessions and it was so nice to come back to after the chaos (worthy cause). Fully recommend and the only negative point is that we could not stay longer. Eden Sessions buses - although separate to any service this property offers, should you book the Eden sessions bus, you will find the stop it departs from on the opposite side of the road to the printing factory just up the way from the premiere inn.

Impeccable

Everything! The house and room was beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean. A good selection of drinks and some nice biscuits to refresh ourselves with upon arrival into the room. The bed was large and comfortable, we had a great night's sleep. Hosts are wonderful, friendly, and see to it all needs taken care of. Great choice of breakfast options to choose from, cooked fresh to order. Fabulous location.

Everything! Very clean, comfortable rooms with everything you need for an overnight stay. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. If only we had stay for more than one night! Breakfast was included in the price and was a real treat!(especially the pancakes!) perfect location for Eden Project ( only 7 minutes drive) 10/10!

Exceptional B&B, definitely recommend

Natalia and Igor were very welcoming and delivered exceptional service during our stay, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and had a homely feel to it. The breakfast was excellent. I had porridge the first day, which was served with fresh fruit on the side and the vegetarian cooked breakfast the second day was delicious. The facilities were excellent. We decided to stay here due to the location to Eden Project for our parkrun, but there are plenty of places to explore nearby!

Faultless in every respect

We primarily picked Rockleigh Place for its proximity to the Eden Project and for its good, cooked breakfast reviews. The two hosts could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The room was very well appointed with an especially nice bathroom. The traditional English cooked breakfast was top quality, in his case the vegetarian option. There were plenty of other choices available through a simple pre ordering system for the following morning. The accommodation has a well-designed garden and a lovely sundeck with an additional conservatory area if the weather is a little chilly. There’s onsite parking, including a charging station. Thanks to Natalie and Igor for a lovely stay. We would certainly return.

It's not meant as a serious criticism, but I wouldn't mind more flexibility about breakfast. Instead of the fixed 4 types of breakfast on the menu I would appreciate the ability to mix and match bits and pieces from different options.

Elegance, cosyness, friendly people - usually you find one, maybe two - seldom all three. Here you do! It is a great place to spend a night or two! Bed, bath and breakfast were also very good, the location near Eden project and Lost gardens is also perfect … you cannot want more!

We would highly recommend a stay at Rockleigh Place with or without a car.

It’s a lovely property. Very clean and homely. It looks exactly as in the pictures. We stayed in the family suite overlooking the garden in front of the property, which looks great even on a rainy day. Rooms have voile curtains and roller blinds. We are a family of 4 with no car, but we have been in St Austell a few years ago when our 2 daughters were younger, and it wasn’t a problem for us navigating the sites by bus. Admittedly, we stayed in the centre then, so we had initial reservations about booking Rockleigh Place. However, we were reassured, as Igor and Natalia offers a shuttle service for a reasonable fee, particularly for a family of 4. The property is only a few minutes from the train station. They have an information booklet in the room with recommendations and contact details, including theirs. There is a pizza place and a pub about 12-15 minutes away on foot. On a Saturday, we booked Igor to take us to the Eden Project, then we sent him a message to collect and take us to Charlestown then to collect us again when we were ready. The following day, he took us to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, we took the bus to Mevagissey (stop is just outside Lost Gardens), then he collected us from there to the train station with our luggages in the car. Breakfast needed to be pre-ordered by 8 pm of the previous day. There were choices of continental or English breakfast and crepes(our daughters absolutely loved them!). There were toasted bread, tea, coffee, cereals, fruits, yoghurts, and juices. Umbrellas were available by the entrance door. The rooms have no built in wardrobes, but there were enough shelves and hanging racks. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. WiFi was not a problem. Noise was not an issue.

We love everything. Some people might feel that the bath is small. We are not tall, and we are of average weight. I believe there was a limited option for the television in the 2nd bedroom. It wasn’t a problem for us, as my daughters preferred to use their mobile phones.

Absolutely amazing hotel, the garden is impeccable and breakfasts are 10/10. Rooms are very clean and have everything a person might need. Parking is spacious and you can enjoy sea view from the garden.

A very comfortable stay

I stayed in one of the apartment style rooms which was spacious and well equipped including dinning table, kitchen area sofa, separate bedroom and bathroom with bath. It was useful to have the different spaces. The owners are lovely too and recommended an amazing local pizza place (salty bay).
