Schönes, gemütliches Haus mit toller Ausstattung in ruhiger Lage mit Blick auf die Berge, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in 1-10min und weit genug entfernt von der Tourismus-Hauptstraße

We thought the house looked cute on the photographs but it completely exceeded our expectations. Spacious, comfortable, located a short bus-ride (three stops?) from the more tourist-filled Cochem - just a perfect place to kick back and relax. There's a great baker nearby for those delicious German rolls and cakes (Café Fuhrmann) and a supermarket a few minutes' walk away. It was also great having access to a washing-machine for a mid-holiday laundry session! The host, Julia, was incredibly accommodating in letting us arrive early and was really friendly when she popped round to pick up the payment. It's clear she loves the house as much as anyone who stays there would. We were there at the time of the 'Plum Festival' so also table to enjoy dome live music and try out the local wines. Cochem is also really well-located for getting up and down the Mosel and on local transport - we did some great walks in the area.

Couldn't fault it! I guess if you wanted to be in the centre of things with lots of restaurants and amenities then this wouldn't be the best place for you. But that's not the fault of the house or host, of course!
