The location was exceptional, offering breathtaking views of the castle and surrounding vineyards from the garden. It would be difficult to find a more picturesque setting. The host was highly attentive and communicative, ensuring our stay was both comfortable and enjoyable. I am so happy to come across this gem and that we got to stay here! Of course we were a little worried about driving the car up to the hotel via the narrow driveway, however we managed thanks to good driving instructions by host.

It was wonderful!

Location was perfect! The backyard had the most amazing views of the castle and vinyards, and had several lovely little areas to sit with a glass of wine after a long day of sightseeing. We had 4 adults and booked two suites side-by-side. Each came with a full bathroom and small kitchenette counter with coffeemaker and refrigerator. The hostess was very helpful with driving instructions and recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. Although the road is busy during the day with tourists hiking up to the castle and students on their way to the nearby, it was mostly very peaceful and we really enjoyed our stay.

The house is on a steep narrow road. We walked to and from the village, and left our car parked at the house. But the first time you drive to the property is very tricky, because Google maps had us driving through a pedestrian-only zone (do not turn onto Pater-Martin Strasse!). The hostess directed me to go from the 49 (the main street that runs parallel to the river) up Zollstrasse, turn left on Schlossstrasse, and then continue up the hill to the property. However, if you encounter a vehicle coming down, you must give them the right-of-way and reverse downhill. Once you get to the house, there is ample parking, With further study, we found another route going up and around which avoids the crowded tiny streets of Cochem.

Simply amazing

Absolutely stunning view of vineyards and the castle. Amazingly beautiful and well maintained outdoor area where we ate most of our home cooked meals. Antje was lovely, as were the other locals we met. Wine just 100m down the road was fantastic and the bikes and river cruise were well worth it.

Not much, its pretty fantastic!!! A suggestion would be to have a small shared bbq in the garden.

Magnificent!

The apartment is one of several in the house, our room opened onto a patio, as we had superb weather, we ate out there. The room was very comfortable, well equipped and quiet. It kept cool despite the heat outside. The owner has designed a fabulous garden which anyone can use. There is lots of seating and tables, it creates a real feeling of comfort. Everything is tastefully done. There is salt / pepper and tea/coffee and sugar provided. There isn't a microwave. The setting is breathtaking, the apartment is on the cobbled narrow road leading up to the castle. It is a steep climb, people stop to admire the property, and get their breath back! You look out onto vines opposite and a castle at the top of the hill.

When we arrived, travelling by train, we hadn't expected the steep climb up to the apartment. Once we were settled in it was fine. Most people travel by car and there's plenty of parking. There are no supermarkets in Cochem, Aldi and Rewe are over 1 mile away We did manage to get milk from a vending machine along the next street.

Gorgeous place, loved our stay!

Absolutely gorgeous property and very spacious room! The host was very nice and accommodating to us. We loved the courtyard and waking up to views of the vineyard and castle.

Quite the hike up the hill when pushing luggage, but it was part of the adventure! Other guests with private patio lodgings were quite noisy, but it wasn’t too bothersome. Definitely can hear the coming and going of other guests and riff raff on the street. We loved our stay, honestly only true dislikes were that there were no fully closing blinds on the side windows where sun came in the morning and the electric stove was difficult to understand how to work.

Wonderful view of the castle from the garden in back, surrounded by vineyards. Room felt like it was brand new. Antje the proprietor was very kind and helpful.

It is a bit of a climb to its location on the road leading up to the castle. But that’s what gives you the fabulous view! And to a degree separates you from the touristy market square below.

Great view of the castle and a short up hill walk to visit it. Very nice garden to relax in. The bed was very comfortable. Very clean room and facilities. Short down hill walk to the center of the village and River promenade. Parking is included.

If staying during three weekdays and school is in be prepared for the kids walking by in the morning. Unexpected wake up call. No big deal.

Perfect relaxing stay in Cochem

Weinberg had the most beautiful garden overlooking the castle with chairs, tables and sun loungers. The drive to get there is steep but so worth it. Parking was available for no additional cost. Very close to the old town, even when it rained the big windows in the apartment had great views over the valley and castle. Pots, pans, cooking equipment coffee maker, toaster, kettle etc all provided as well as salt, pepper, coffee and sugar. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We would recommend this holiday apartment to anyone hoping to relax in Cochem! If you are following sat nav, double check it is not taking you through pedestrian only areas of the old town!

Die Lage ist perfekt - Nahe zur Stadt, nahe zur Reichsburg, Wanderpfade um die Ecke. Das beste, bequemste Bett in welchem wir geschlafen haben. Dusche groß/modern, Ausstattung sehr stilvoll. Die Gastgeberin war sehr sympathisch.

Leuk nette mensen, fijne tuin bij de accommodatie zeker een aanrader!

Heel netjes geholpen door de eigenaresse, ik had even gebeld en toen kwam ze de sleutel brengen. wij waren met 4 vrienden op motorvakantie en gaf ons een mooie plek langs het gebouw om te parkeren. de eigenaar had ons zelfs nog van gereedschap voorzien voor een kleine reparatie.

Een aanrader!

Goed onderhouden en schone accommodatie, prachtig gelegen tussen de wijnvelden met uitzicht op de burcht. Uiterst vriendelijke eigenaresse. Een mooie, goed onderhouden tuin, waar het heerlijk zitten was.

Accommodatie ligt aan behoorlijk stijle weg. Voor ons geen enkel probleem, maar minder geschikt als men minder goed ter been is.

Een perfecte centrale en mooie plek in Cochem

Prachtige locatie aan naast de wijnvelden en het kasteel. Ook een hele mooie tuin, die super netjes verzorgd was en zelfs werd voorzien van dekentjes voor als het ‘s avonds afkoelde.

Er hadden iets meer glazen mogen zijn. De badkamer met wc was alleen bereikbaar via de slaapkamer, wat een beetje onhandig was met de kinderen die op de (goede!) slaapbank in de woonkamer sliepen. Het wc blokje in het toilet rook erg sterk en chemisch, wat goed te ruiken was in de aangrenzende slaapkamer.
