Ferienhaus bei Reichsburg Cochem

Das Ferienhaus liegt ganz in der Nähe des historischen Marktplatzes und der Reichsburg. Den Bahnhof erreichen meine Kinder sogar noch zu Fuß. Die Ausstattung ist ebenfalls top! Die Küche hat alles, was man braucht – sogar eine Kaffeemaschine ist vorhanden. Alles war sehr sauber. Das Ferienhaus ist besonders gut für Familien mit Kindern geeignet. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und gut erreichbar.

In a very good location, accessible to the old town and the castle. Was clean and well equipped.

Parking locally is a nightmare. You can’t even unload at the property. Would better suit someone with no car. We had real trouble getting a space within half a kilometre of the house and the terrain is very steep so be prepared to carry what you have up and down steep hills. The layout is also quite tricky for a family because each floor is so small. There is enough space overall but we needed to have only two people in the kitchen to cook while the other two sat on a different floor. It was also quite irritating to pay nearly €600 for 2 nights then to get a WhatsApp asking for another €80 because we had 2 poodles. The owner said this was in the listing but I couldn’t see it. Also all of the towels were still in the tumble dryer when we arrived - this isn’t a massive thing but I was annoyed already after carrying our stuff up and down the big hill from the car. It’s also worth noting that there is nowhere locally to charge an electric car. We had to go to the train station and even then it was a slow charger.

The location is great and the house is very clean. The bed is soft and comfortable. Everything you need is in the house. It felt like going back to my mother's house. The owner is very lovely and responds very quickly.
