Most unique stay ever

Amazing place to stay probably the best place I have ever stayed at. Once in a life time experience staying in a lighthouse!

Stairs are very steep so be careful wear sensible shoes and step carefully

The location is sublime. Unbeatable view. The suite is luxurious, the breakfast is extravagant, the hosts are welcoming. This is the second time we have stayed at De Gevangentoren and I cannot wait to stay there again.

This was one of the most amazing rooms we’ve rented in the last 20 years traveling around the world

The breakfast was fantastic. Multiple bakery items, hardboiled eggs, juice, milk, smoked salmon, etc. It was delivered to the room, exactly at the time they told us it would be ready.

I cannot think of anything I didn’t like!

A Gem!

This is absolutely beautiful and unique rental with super friendly and accommodating crew. Located right at the sea front with 360 degree roof top terrace for your private use. Packed with lovely touches and amazing views. We’ve stayed 2 nights and it was truly amazing. Our superb Covid hideaway 😉😉😉

De sfeer en het uitzicht waren geweldig! Het ontbijt was boven verwachting.

Het waren inderdaad veel trappen maar dat staat duidelijk aangegeven. Als je eenmaal boven bent maken de sfeer en het uitzicht alles goed 😊

Een echte aanrader voor iedereen die mobiel genoeg is om de trappen in de toren te doen.

De uitzonderlijke locatie was adembenemend. De trappen naar de toren waren telkens een uitdaging, maar eens boven : wauw ! De stormwind zorgde voor extra beleving, prachtige uitzichten en heel lekker gegeten in het restaurant beneden !

Außergewöhnlich und besonders

Einzigartige Lage mit tollem Rundumblick. Ein reichhaltiger Frühstückskorb stand ab 8 Uhr bereit, der nur noch hoch in den Turm geholt werden musste. Der Kühlschrank war gut gefüllt mit verschiedenen Getränken, die sogar aufgefüllt wurden. Ein besonderes Erlebnis diese kleine Auszeit!

Es hätte etwas sauberer sein können. Betten waren ok, aber Schlafmaske lag von anderem Gast noch drunter, das war weniger schön.

Prima verblijf, heerlijk ontbijt

De locatie en het uitzicht waren perfect. Echt een super ervaring en we hadden mooi weer, dat scheelt ook natuurlijk. makkelijke te bereiken en een parkeervergunning voor het centrum zit bij je boeking inbegrepen.

Het zitje op de omloop buiten viel bijna uit elkaar van ellende, heel comfortabel zitten was het niet echt. Het grote bed was super, maar aan één kant werkt de electrische lattenbodem niet. Ik vind wel dat voor deze prijs dit soort dingen wel op orde moeten zijn.

De unieke locatie en het concept. Ook het gebruik van de gevulde koelkast en het super de luxe ontbijt!

Het is geen tegenvaller, eerder een tip ; Wit beddengoed zoals overtrek, kussensloop en lakens en ook de badjassen wit zou het nòg een luxere uitstraling geven. Ondanks dit zeer goed geslapen!

Geweldige locatie maar prijs/kwaliteit kan beter.

Het is een geweldige locatie en een aparte beleving om in de torensuite te slapen! Fantastisch uitzicht over de zee en de boulevard van Vlissingen.

Het rook er erg muf en het was er best wel warm. Ook werd er niet tussentijds schoongemaakt en is het blijkbaar de bedoeling dat je zelf de afwas doet? Het ontbijt vond ik voor deze prijs best wel standaard en niet bijzonder.

Bijzonder mooi in een prettige stad!

Prachtig uitzicht! Mooie accomodatie en bed staat mooi in t midden dat je vanuit je bed de schepen ziet varen op zee. Auto parkeren prima geregeld en ontbijt was heerlijk op je eigen kamer!

Een bijzondere belevenis …

Wij houden van unieke locaties, wat zeker van de Gevangentoren suite mag gezegd worden ! De toren ligt op een prachtige locatie, met een verbluffend uitzicht. Het zijn, zoals aangegeven, idd redelijk wat trappen naar boven, maar ça va nog … er zijn een paar pauzes ingelast :-) Wanneer men dan toch boven aangekomen is, kom je terecht in een prettige sfeer. Eerst een gezellige woonkamer/ keuken en dan het hoogste topje, de knusse slaapkamer met badkamer (bubbelbad èn ruime douche). Het ontbijt is zeker ook ok. De service is TOP ! Bedankt, Lukas, dat we het kleine misverstandje onderling goed hebben kunnen oplossen ! Ik wil ook zeker een duimpje geven aan de vriendelijke beheerder van het restaurant beneden in de toren. We hebben genoten van ons Valentijndiner .

Eén klein minpuntje : de drankjes in de koelkast waren inclusief … maar je mocht ze niet meenemen ! Ik had zeker graag nog een flesje rosé mee naar huis genomen om het op dit ogenblik nog gezellig uit te drinken, terwijl ik deze aangename recensie schrijf … Eén kleine tip misschien : we waren in de suite tijdens een koude februarinacht (het had zelfs gesneeuwd die nacht). Het was gezellig warm, dus hierover geen geklaag. We hebben hiervoor wel de temperatuur wat hoger moeten zetten. Voor ons geen probleem, maar als tip voor jullie wil ik even meegeven, dat jullie misschien een soort voorzetscherm ofzo aan de deur naar buiten richting de kantelen kunnen plaatsen, want door deze deur komt erg veel koude naar binnen ! Gelukkig lag deze op de verdieping van de woonkamer en was deze wat minder warm dan de slaapverdieping …

Fabelhaft - Hervorragend - absolute Spitzenklasse

Wir sind total begeistert von dieser Unterkunft und man muss es als einzigartig bezeichnen. Zwar viele Stufen, aber man wir mit einem tollen Ambiente und einer Aussicht belohnt die seinesgleichen sucht. Tolle Ausstattung, kleine Küche mit kostenfreien Getränken, schöne Sitzgelegenheiten in dieser Ebene. Oben ist das schöne Doppelbett mit elektrischen Komfort, Fernseher am Fußende, tolles Bad mit Whirlpoolwanne und einen Ausblick der berauschend ist. Einfach nur ganz fantastisch. Hinweis, kleine Gepäcktaschen erleichtern das Treppensteigen nach oben.

Très décevant

Le concept de la chambre dans la tour avec vue sur la mer est sympa

Quand nous sommes arrivés, les draps de lit était chiffonnés et non repassés. La housse de couette était aussi toute chiffonnée, absolument pas du tout repassée. Pareil pour les taies d'oreillers. Il y avait des toiles d'araignée dans les lampes de la chambre. Le déjeuner se trouvait dans un panier tout en bas des escaliers qui est très difficile à monter dans l'appartement car la cage d'escalier est très étroite et le panier trop large. Et enfin, le code wifi ne fonctionnait pas. On s'attendait à un service impeccable pour 400 Eur la nuit, ce qui ne fut pas du tout le cas ! Nous avons été très déçus !
