Buni Shqipes

Hidden gem! The property was only a few minutes away from the famous Theth church and trails to the mountain. The room were very spacious and homie. The owners were super friendly and lovely people. We opted to eat there and they prepared a feast for us for only €15 each. You could taste the freshness in the ingredients and the love that they put into making those dishes. Just an hand up in case you are coming by car, to ask near the church the right path to the house to locals as google maps will take you to the wrong road.

As a group of six hikers doing the Theth to Valbone, we had the most incredible stay at Buni Shqipes ❤️ If you’re looking for a heartfelt, authentic guesthouse experience in a perfect location then this is the one. Maria, Antonio and their family showed us the most wonderful hospitality, ensuring we had everything we needed, cooking us the most amazing food and even playing volleyball with us! Our dinner was the most incredible Albanian feast (soup, fried potatoes, bbq meat, salads, grilled vegetables, cheeses, dips, fresh bread, watermelon - so much food we couldn’t even finish it), Albanian doughnuts, coffee, fresh milk and cheeses for breakfast and they even gave us bread, eggs and vegetables to make sandwiches for our hike the next day. The love and care they showed us was second to none. We can’t stress this enough, Buni Shqipes was the highlight of our time in Albania and you should absolutely stay there if you have the chance. Seriously, book it right now!

Awesome location, close to all of the highlights. Nice to have a fridge. No AC, it didn’t bother us because it was early June but it would be an issue in later summer months. Hosts very warm and welcoming.

It’s a great spot! We would stay again. Breakfast could use a little more variety if you don’t like hard boiled eggs or warm milk you’re a little limited in choices

Amazing stay! Everything was spotless and the view was stunning. Breakfast and dinner were homemade, delicious, and very traditional. The hosts were kind, always helpful, and shared interesting stories about Theth. The rooms were very clean and warm inside. The garden is big, with beautiful green grass perfect for relaxing or camping, and at night the sky is crystal clear full of stars. The place is very near the main locations you want to visit like “The Tower of Ngujm” and the “Gruna Waterfall”, also the cute church is like 3 minutes away by foot. They even have games for guests. Truly a 10/10 experience – highly recommended!
