Enjoyable quick stop-over
Lovely location with pretty views. A really nice pub 10 minutes walk away (although the greenery was a bit overgrown walking there). Nice space and comfortable size everything. Clean and tidy with fresh towels in all rooms. No loo roll but this was fast remedied by the host once I let them know.
Was a bit odd going upstairs for the bedrooms then back downstairs for the bathroom the other end of the annex. Didn't know about the recycling until too late (after checkout) but didn't create much rubbish so wasn't an issue. Parking wasn't the easiest to find.

Very nice but with some flaws
Style and quality of furniture. Very good interaction with owner (Nigel)
The distribution of spaces: specifically, access to the bathroom is rather awkward - to get to it (ground floor) from living room (also GF) one has to pass through the bedrooms zone (first floor). The spiral staircase is so small we decided to leave our suitcases in the living room rather than trying to hoist them upstairs. The access to the apartment is through a very narrow passage between the building and a garden wall - big items/people may have some trouble getting through. We found that the living room receives not much sunlight. Basically, don't expect a luxury, historical apartment but rather a former storehouse now renovated (with suboptimal design I am afraid) and, yes, very finely furnished.

Beautiful accommodation, heaps of room, very quiet.
The accommodation was beautiful, lots of room and we planned 3 days of rest which this certainly delivered on.
Not a fan of stairs but given this was a short stay, this was not a problem. An indoor clothes line would be good, not a fan of dryers.

Lovely and clean and location was good. Facilities good.
We found it difficult to get our bags down the stairs from the gate. If you come by car it would not be a problem. Once inside the spiral staircase was to difficult for us to get our bags upstairs so they had to stay in the lounge. The property is lovely and the bus service is good to town.
Arrived by taxi and it was difficult to get the suitcases down the stairs as they were gravel. I am sure most people would be in a car so they would not experience the problem. Not being able to get the bags up to our bedrooms also not so good. However everything else was nice.

Perfect home away from home
This is an excellent home away from home. A beautifully presented, well equipped quirky cottage in a great location with stunning views The owner/manager was very informative and helpful and I felt if we needed anything, he would be on hand. There is a very useful guide to peruse when you arrive. We quite liked the fact it was a bit of a mission to get down to but I wouldn't advise anyone with mobility issues to book here. My husband and I stayed here with our teenage daughter and her friend and they didn't want to leave at the end. The pictures make it seem a little smaller than it is but it's very spacious indeed. The kitchen is very well equipped but we didn't really use it apart from making drinks. Tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt and pepper are provided which was useful. I'd really recommend this for a family stay and we'd definitely stay here again.
My only slight issue was our mattress was really soft and squishy and you sort of sank into it which wasn't very comfortable. That was literally the only thing but everything else was perfect.
