Delightful hilltop villa with exceptional views.

The villa is spacious, very comfortable and everything works. The views are phenominal. The garden is lovely and there are numerous places to sit outside. Some shelter from the breeze is possible if required. The pool is clean and a good size - but in October very cold, even for us hardy Northerners. Aris is an exceptional host - great communication and very helpful. There are excellent tavernas nearby. Access to the many wonderful beaches and mountain areas of Western Crete is easy by car.

We are used to driving in Greece so didn't find the road up to the Villa too much of a challenge, however the last 300m is pretty uneven with a few steep bends. It took us 10 minutes to get down to the nearest village with facilities by car - would not have walked ( too steep) although it was nice to Potter round the local village / churches / vineyards.

A perfect stay at stunning Villa Kalliani, a view that we will never forget.

Our stay at Villa Kalliani was simply amazing. The house is beautiful, spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and even more impressive than the photos. The pool and the sea view are stunning — the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Cretan sun. We were warmly welcomed by Antonis, Arris’s father, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Arris was also great with communication and made everything easy from the start. We also received a lovely welcome pack, such a thoughtful gesture that made us feel immediately at home. We had a wonderful time and would come back without hesitation. Highly recommended!

A beautiful villa, high on the hill, with outstanding views to allow you to get away from it all!

The villa is just beautiful! Right at the top of a hill amongst the olive groves with the most outstanding views all around over Kissimos bay. It has all the amenities you would ever need, and is very clean and comfortable. Antonis and Aris ensured a friendly Cretan welcome was ours, and helped with questions when we needed advice on supermarkets, tavernas etc. They also put us in touch with an excellent car rental company too.

An excellent holiday in a beautiful villa with a great location.

Location was excellent with fantastic views of Kissamos Bay. Access to beaches and tavernas was very good, with the villa being very well maintained and very quiet. Overall this was an excellent villa - thank you!

There were no significant parts of the villa that we thought could have been improved, although some of the bathroom fittings could do with being updated - overall, though, everything was very good with an extremely helpful host.

Best view!

One of the best house I have rented for a holiday with a breathtaking view. It has everything you need and the owners are really nice and helpful. Even if it's a little bit tricky to reach the villa, you are rewarded with unobstructed view and peaceful place. The pool and garden are very well maintained and it's a big plus. I can't wait to come back. Thank you Antonis and Aris!

The Best Views in Crete: Sea, Mountains, Sunsets and Villages

The Views: The house is located on top of the highest hill in the area. That means if you like unobstructed and massive views, this place is for you. From the ground floor (where there is a lovely patio and table to sit at near the front entrance), you have great views of the sea. The views from the second balcony are not like any other views I’ve seen in any other house in the world. You have a 200 degree unobstructed view of the landscape if you sit in a chair with a drink in your and and don’t move, and a 270 degree view if you walk around from corner to corner of the balcony. What’s more is that the views are of sea, hills and mountains! Look right, and you’ll see the sea and the peninsula fringed bay below. Look straight and you’l see the rolling hills covered in olive trees and white scattered villages. Look left and you’ll view up valley to light grey jagged mountains, with more villages dotting the landscape. The colors that move over this landscape from sunrise to sunset are stunning. After the sun goes down over the peninsula behind Kissamos, the sky turns to fire and glows the mountain ridge beautifully for 45 minutes as the colors compress into darkness and the stars come out. The Location: It’s 8 minutes away by car to the small village below where you can get almost anything you need from the family-run supermarket: produce, drinks, ice-cream and other basic food items. If you can’t find it there, drive 8 more minutes into Kissamos and find it at Synka. You are centrally located almost exactly between Balos Beach, Elafonisi Beach, Phalasarna Beach and the beautiful old town of Chania. All can be accessed in about 1 hour or less. There are many tavernas in the small villages near the house that are less than a 12 minute drive away. We went to a different one almost each night and they were all unique and amazing. Aris and Antonis: They are amazingly kind hosts who do everything to make your stay at their family home perfect.

Excellent!

Very comfortable villa, well-equipped and perfectly maintained, in a quiet area, with stunning views to the sea. Plenty of tables and chairs outside to eat & chill, under the shade of the tree or in the sun... The pool is also very enjoyable. Kissamos is a short drive from the villa where you can find all services. Last but not least our host Aris is charming! In a word I fully recommend the place!
