Casa in Monti was an amazing place to stay. The location, in a quiet street with a couple of bars and restaurants close by, was convenient for many of the sites: Colosseum (15 minutes walk), Termini station (10 minutes), Cavour metro (5 minutes). All the staff were incredibly friendly and the breakfast—an assortment of savory, yoghurt, croissants and fruit—was a great way to start the day. Nothing but positives to say about the whole experience.

Location is very good. Monti as a locality is a great base from which to explore all the major sights on foot. Good selection of local restaurants too, including directly opposite (Ristorante Il nipotino del solitario). Hotel is in an older building, on the first floor. There is an elevator but we found the stairs easier. Room a comfortable size for two people. Quiet too.
Being an older style hotel, we found a lack of bench space to put things on. Our toiletries bags had to sit of the floor for example. Also, the hotel hosts international clients, but the breakfast was very 'Italian'. That is, breakfast choices were sweet cakes, cold slices of pizza, a boiled egg ... Supermarket orange juice, no fruit, no cereal. But coffee of course. This needs improvement in my opinion.

Location is great, room was clean, staff was nice, but that's it. Then there are cons because of which i would not consider it again.
The room was too dark, relying only on the lights inside, but the worst thing was privacy. Right behind the room door is the front desk. You can hear every single word through the door. People moving around likely don't realize it or don't care, but it is too disrupting, mainly late in the evening. Also, i am pretty sure outside, every word from the inside of the room is audible. It could be worse only if there is no door there at all.
