Perfect wee break

We had to change our arrival time and received a message telling us that was fine and how to get into our lodge. The lodge was cosy, clean and very inviting. The beds were so cosy and we had breakfast and supper outside on the veranda which was lovely. We had parking at the side of the lodge so no trekking with our cases. Lots of information in the lodge for instructions for everything from the cooker to heating. Clear instructions on helping the environment with waste and recycling. The goats were cute and gave me an impromptu playfight to watch. Setting is very peaceful, just what we needed for a chill weekend away. Texts from Mary telling us what was on nearby were very handy too. I could go on and on. Absolutely one of the best short breaks I have ever had.

There wasn't a single thing we disliked. So this part of my review is extremely short. The only thing I dislike is having such a short break. I would have loved to have stayed longer and will try to next time as we will be back.

We loved the lodge! Super cosy and had everything you might need. Our daughter really enjoyed the play area and the goats.

Wonderful and peaceful stay recommended

Compact but comfortable, great setting location. Easy to navigate via GPS. Mary and John are perfect host, great communicators. Clear advice and instruction all the of our journey. Easy drive route to many places we wanted to visit. Like the recycling facility and conscience.

Great family weekend away

We loved how peaceful it was, the safety was immense, were able to let kids play knowing they couldn't wonder off, they were safe secure and never in. Hosts were lovely, very very nice people. Kids want to go back and so do we.

Roomy accomodation, had all facilities required. Parking + small town easy to get around.

The accomodation had all the facilities we wanted and a nice outlook through the trees and grassed area from the lounge room. The kitchen was roomy and washing machine/dryer worked well. The late checkout on the final day was very helpful. Parking beside the lodge was ultra convenient. Wifi worked well. TV was good. It was only a 4 minute walk to the Co-op for groceries, etc. There was an ATM out the front of the Co-op if you needed cash (notes only). The Tavern Inn food was very good - for dining out. Easy access to the main motorways around Perth.

Petrol station in town would have been useful but not essential.

Really enjoyed the quiet setting and very neat lodge.

Easy access to Perth but everything is available in the village in walking distance. Washing up liquid and tea towels /dish washing cloth provided - this is not a given and a nice touch. Pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and freshness of the property. Everything seems well thought out and maintained.

Superb

Lovely location for peaceful break. Close to Perth if you prefer the city. Lodge was clean with everything you need for a stay there. Grounds are immaculate, well looked after with a small play area and friendly goats. Right next to a river.

Toilet seat was broken but I'm sure it would have been replaced had I mentioned it. Bedroom was a bit cramped I rattled my knee off bed post.

A great stay for a family with young children! We hope to be back one day.

The chalet was very comfortable and ideal for our family of 4. Lovely views over the lawn/play area towards the river. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great too! Our little boy loved feeding and chatting to the goats. Prior to our arrival the host contacted us to check if we needed anything in particular and also during our stay the hosts were very friendly and attentive.

Chilled and peaceful with friendly hosts

The lodges and setting were lovely. Situated close to shops and pubs, it was an ideal getaway. Hosts were great and went out of their way to ensure we had a great hassle free stay. Thanks again!

Best holiday I've ever taken

I loved the relax and calming sense of this place. The cabins were a perfect size to suit us for 2 weeks, had everything we needed plus open space for my children to run around in and the views were spectacular

Exceptional

Fantastic quiet location at the bank of river Earn. Lodge itself had beed equipped with everything we needed and the owner/management seemed to be around at all times ensuring that everything had been takrn care of. Our family of three found the Lodge spacious and cosy. There were few farm animals on site which our daughter fell in love with. City of Perth is just around the corner and hills with spectacular views/walks within 15 minutes drive. Fantastic stay, highly recommended.

Peaceful family gettaway

Mary was very accomodating, she even managed to put up balloons and birthday banners for my husbands 40th birthday prior to our arrival. The lodge was ready for entry a few hours later than expected, and she offered us to check out later than originally planned, which was helpful with three young kids. The lodge was very peaceful and a great, safe space for kids to run free. Kids aged 9, 7 and 5.

There was not much to do in the local village, most of the take away shops were closed when we were there. Therefore it is a good idea to stock up on food at the testco prior to arrival, although there is a local co-op a short walk away from the lodges for essential shopping.

It was a great place if like us you plan to explore Perthshire. We had a beautiful view of the river and Bridge of Earn out our sitting room window, it made you feel you were in the middle of the country even though there were 13 more chalets in the Complex. Robert was really helpful making sure everything was OK then would spend time having a friendly chat. The grounds were beautifully kept, we loved having the hens and goats near our chalet.

Traffic on the Bridge of Earn, it was quite noisy while sitting out on the balcony.

It was easy to find and the views where incredible. It was very close to Perth city centre so we were able to go out a lot. Loved there were some animals on site that we could feed and we did every day.

Didn’t like the bed but I’m very fussy when it comes to my bed :)

Great accommodation and location

The accommodation was very homely and the location was very relaxing. The kids loved the freedom to run around and play and to see the goats/chickens. Everything was taken care of including the toddler toilet seat! Great place as a base for exploring the area. We will definitely be back for another visit soon.

Had a super time plenty of room for kids to play about when weather allowed. Lovely easy location with shops and restaurants within walking distance.
