Villa Alam Biru

Dayu was gorgeous, she even waded out to the villa when the streets were flooded. She was so friendly and welcoming. The air-conditioning was great and the upstairs bedroom and bathroom were lovely. The pool was also lovely.

The beds were obviously old and just covered with toppers so you sort of sunk into them. The downstairs bathroom has a bit of a smell but i think that was the garden, can't be helped with the rain and it being outdoors.

It was lovely and clean. Quiet location. Short walk to everything. About 2 blocks back from the beach. Short walk to Icon mall. Amazing warong close by. The pool was great. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. The air con was so cold which was awesome. The staff were brilliant.

Nothing except the beds were very hard.

Loved the huge pool and the large open living area. Bedrooms were both large and aircon was great. Loved the little lane tgat this property was on- very quiet and local but only a 7 minute walk to the main street.

Would have liked ceiling fans in the bedrooms so we didnt have to run the aircon all night. Also, for a villa of this quality and price it was strange to not have hand towels and a tea towel supplied.

The location of the villa is excellent. Hidden away in a quiet laneway within an easy walk to a very good local warung (Lilla), restaurants, shops & the beach. Icon Bali shopping mall is only a 5-6 minute walk. Communication with the owner was easy & prompt & she acted very quickly on some maintenance issues. It was great she could organise airport transfers at a very reasonable price.

The facilities at the villa were not as expected & we were initially very disappointed with our choice of accommodation. It’s quite basic, tired & in real need of some TLC. Whilst it was clean & is serviced every 2 or 3 days (a bonus), the bed linen & bath towels were well worn & tatty. No power point in the downstairs bathroom was a bugbear. The kitchen desperately needs an update & a new toaster & addition of a microwave oven would be of benefit to future guests. Whilst the villa grew on us during our stay, we would rate it 2.5 to 3 stars only. It is definitely not a 4 star property.
