Ajanta Villa

We had a wonderful 2N stay at Ajanta Villa in Sanur. The private pool was fantastic and the villa was spacious, clean, and perfect for our family with three children. The location couldn’t be better just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops (icon Bali) yet still peaceful and quiet. The staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to help, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

Breakfast was too much. We were a family of five and easily had enough food for ten. One small downside was that some Australian guests complained around 10 p.m. that our kids were making too much noise. Our kids were swimming for 15 minutes after 18h flight.

The location was excellent. Very close to icon mall, money changer & ATM, breakfast options and beach access (only through the mall - no accessible gangs).

The hot water ran out before one shower finished - tricky to manage when the whole family want to shower before going to bed. The pool was really cold. Too cold for us to swim in and enjoy.

What a perfect location. We were walking distance to everything. You reach the beach through the Bali Icon mall that is a beautiful peace of architecture. The beach was great for swimming and lazing all day, tide depending. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was ample and fresh. They prepare it in your villa with a warm smile and care.

This villa has so much potential. We were truly looking forward to spending six days here. Unfortunately they have a few major problems. The mattress has indentations from long use. They supplied me with an extra single bed that was far more comfortable. My wife, who is not nearly as picky as me tried to sleep in the middle of the mattress, but would roll down during the night. The bathroom is huge but the shower is so small that it looks like one you would find on a cruise ship. The living room was the biggest disappointment. When I read , furnished with traditional Balinese furniture, I did not think it would be clunky uncomfortable furnishings. We never used the space other than having breakfast. The pool dominated the yard and you had to turn sideways to move between the two sunbeds that were placed in the entrance. It is sad that such a huge villa was made impractical by bad design choices.
