Kyoto Villa Chiyotsuru

Traditional Japanese home in a very nice neighborhood. Very well located by Omnya metro station. Many restaurants & facilities walking distance. 10min taxi ride from Kyoto train station (metro with luggage can be challenging). Nice to have a homey feeling after a day of discovery in Kyoto. Way better deal than any hotel. Very convenient laundry appliances (it is scorching hot in july so 2/3 tshirts a day is a reality). We were 3 in the house, the perfect size. I think it accommodates up to 5. Kitchen is great for breakfast and snacks, dont even bother coooking! Eating out is so affordable compared to Europe or the US.

Nothing in particular. As typical European, could really do with more towels.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful traditional house in Kyoto. The location was absolutely amazing, within walking distance of several of the areas we had planned to visit. It was also surrounded by shops, supermarkets, convenience stores, bus stops and a metro station, while still being very peaceful and quiet. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay. They kindly helped us arrange an early check-in and allowed us to leave our luggage at the house in advance, which we greatly appreciated as we were travelling with children. Every question we had was answered immediately. The house itself is truly beautiful and made our stay in Kyoto feel very special and authentic. We loved our time there and will definitely stay again!
