Authentic beauty, Comfortable home in Central Kyoto

The house is very cozy and charming. We felt very happy to be there. The host went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and made us feel very welcome.

The beds are a little thin on the floor so my old body woke up a little achy.

Man merkt, dass Yoshi in diese Unterkunft großes Herzblut hineingesteckt hat. Alles ist liebevoll und bis ins kleinste Detail gestaltet und durchdacht. Von der voll ausgestatteten Küche über die wunderschönen traditionellen Wohn-/und Schlafbereiche, Uns hat es für die gesamte Zeit an nichts gefehlt. Auch der Kontakt mit Yoshi war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir bekamen stets eine schnelle Antwort und auf alle unsere Wünsche und Fragen wurde eingegangen. Rundum war die Unterkunft ein absolutes Highlight unserer Japanreise. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden die Unterkunft jedem weiterempfehlen!!

Location was very good, central and close to regular buses into Kyoto centre. Neighbourhood was quiet as far as other residents were concerned. Sizeable accommodation with quirky layout. Traditional style of house was appreciated. Yoshi was there to welcome our family and offered assistance so making us feel welcome when we arrived.

Although we were aware of train noise, this was worse than expected with 2 trains every hour from around 6am until midnight. There was no air conditioning on the upstairs hall seating area which made it impossible to use in July with outside temperatures around 36 when we visited. The futons were not substantial and not that comfortable. Other futons we used elsewhere in Japan were better. The TV was a small PC monitor. No carpets.
