had to wait at least half an hour to check in because the room wasnt ready

1: We arrived by train at 03:50 in dead of winter, and a (sleepy) young woman was waiting for us.
2: We were offered a nice late checkout, considering out late arrival.
3: Breakfast was generous and superb and included remarkable coldcuts and cheese as well as hot eggs and various breads, yogurts, and the best apricot jam on planet Earth. It requires a short outdoor walk to the restaurant, which in our case was icy and bitter cold. Good way to build an appetite.
4: The underground pool is magnificent even in the coldest months of the year.
It would have been much nicer had they arranged the 3:30am taxi pickup at the train station as requested. Instead I spent my first hour in Armenia in the dark and -20⁰C trying to get a response on the GG app. (never succeeeded)
In fairness, they very wonderfully helped unravel taxi troubles the next day.

Lekker ontbijt, wordt gewoon voor je geserveerd met worst, traditioneel Armeens brood, thee/koffie, croissant, omelet, vriendelijk personeel en leuke achtergrondmuziek tijdens het ontbijt.
Restaurant en hotel zijn wel aparte gebouwen, die naast elkaar zijn, 's ochtends moet je wel even de weg oversteken. Is geen minpunt, maar wel het noteren waard.
