The breakfast was outstanding
The room was quite dark but the view certainly made up for it

Friendly welcome, warm and comfortable. Great location, lovely breakfast.
Nothing we didn't like

Comfy bed, lovely view. Modern separate bathroom but no shower, just a hand held one on the taps. There is no light from our end of the corridor to the bathroom so a bit disorientated at night.
Breakfast was ok, but not greeted with instructions about DIY coffee and toast.
Awful decor in the bedroom, unless you like navy glittery and grey painted walls, teamed with purple. Needs updating urgently.
One night here was enough, we went to the Camelot Castle for a night, which was amazing! Spend another £30 and go there.

I had a lovely stay at this quaint old building in Tintagel. The views are fantastic, and having its own private car park is a real bonus. The location couldn’t be better—just a very short walk into the town centre. It’s a charming spot for a weekend stopover, comfortable and very affordable. Highly recommend!

We stayed in room 4 which had some lovely positives the view of the castle and even a glimpse of the sea in the distance were highlights the location were great and close to the town
The entrance to the property felt dated, with a noticeable smell of stale cigarettes. The stairs were steep, and while we only had to climb one flight, it would be difficult with heavier luggage.
However, the room itself could do with some updating. The curtains were too long and covered the radiator, which made the room colder, especially in chilly weather. The furniture and décor didn’t really match, the bed was a little lumpy, and the bedding had a faint cigarette smell. A larger TV, bottled water, or a small fridge would also have been welcome touches.
Breakfast was disappointing. Options were limited, coffee came from a flask, . My poached egg was undercooked, beans lukewarm, and hash browns hard. Attention to detail was missing, as we even had to clear our own plates.
On leaving, the host saw us at the bottom of the stairs but quickly disappeared rather than acknowledging us or saying goodbye. This came across as uninterested, which left a poor final impression

Good location, within walking distance to the Tintagel Castle.
Free parking provided by the property. Quiet room with effective shower facility with hot water promptly.
Good to have fruit salad provided in breakfast.
From personal experiences during this trip in Cornwall, most of the hosts have kindly offered help in carrying our big luggage to our room upstairs given our age, but not this one.

An older, but well located hotel with basic facilities. Breakfast was to order and adequate.

Location.
The whole place had a smell of stale cigarettes despite guests being warned that smoking carried a punishment of death. The gentleman who owns the business smokes himself.
Breakfast was good but he couldn’t get my orders right. Ordered 1 sausage and fried egg. Got 2 sausages and an omelette.

Lovely comfortable bed in a large clean room. Excellent breakfast.
A bit more than I would usually pay for a b and b but prices are similar for other b and bs in this area at this time of year.

Man who greeted me smelt strongly of alcohol and seemed anxious. He unsettled me.
Breakfast was poor. Told to make tea from pouring water from flask on shared table.
Horrible decor in b&b.
Most expensive b&b £108 in my week of walking
I disliked staying there v much. Would not recommend.

Hosts were very helpful. Happily offering breakfast earlier (7.30am) than the usual time.
Very large comfortable bed with lovely linen, quiet location with excellent views. Spotless bathroom with bath tub.
Most importantly, the hosts managed to do a load of washing and drying for us as the local laundry had no capacity anymore. This was much appreciated as we wouldn't have had fresh clothes for the next day walking the SWCP. Thank you so much again.

The location, the staff were friendly and the room was comfortable with a sea view
The clearance hall and stairs are very tired looking and need a good clean. There was a funny smell in the entrance which was off-putting.

Although my room was very small, I thought it was rather cute and sufficient for a solo traveller like myself. There was a beautiful sea view and of Camelot Castle Hotel. I had a private bathroom (separate to bedroom) and had a lovely shower - clean towels & dressing gown were provided. Bedroom and bathroom were clean. Bed was comfortable - very hot but this was due to the hot weather (I was able to open a large window to cool it down). Pendrin Guest House is conveniently situated very close to all the village shops, cafes, pubs, Tintagel Old Post Office (National Trust) and Tintagel Castle Ruins (English Heritage). There are some fabulous coastal walks all on the doorstep. I felt that Pendrin was reasonably priced compared to other B&Bs in the local area.
Marcus & Andra kindly agreed for me to check in early as I arrived several hours prior to the usual check in time. Really appreciated this as arrived by public transport & would have had to lug my luggage around otherwise.
There was a variety of choices for breakfast which included a Full English, fruit salad, toast, cereals, teas or coffee, etc.
Although the Full English was cooked and presented well, I didn't particularly like the beans or sausages.
I think it would have been good if guests could give their payment once they'd settled into their room (perhaps as they come down for breakfast the following morning). I paid the minute I arrived after a 4 hour journey.
It would be good if there could be a large jug or bottle of water in the guestrooms.
I could hear people snoring in other rooms - the walls were very thin. This couldn't be helped though.

Beds very comfortable. Nice space. Face cloths an extra touch. Good views. Breakfast excellent. Host carried case to room and made effort to ensure the coffee was to taste.

Great location, very quiet, lovely seaview from our bedroom. Spacious and comfortable bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice.
Strong smell of dogs on entering the property & dog hairs on hall, stairs, and landing carpets.

Good basic accommodation in Tintagel, fit the bill for a night's stay at the start of a walking holiday. Staff were friendly and helpful, I thought it was nice that they had rain jackets and clean sandals for guests that got caught in the rain. I had sunshine, but I could see how that would have been useful!
room was a bit small, but that's normal for older small hotels.

Tired, top floor shower weak, room neighbour noise louder than expected, breakfast was unexciting

This was my third time staying there. Always quiet and nice staff. Breakfast was a good volume and the staff was kind to keep my luggage. It is away from the high street and it was quiet. Nice sea view too. They renovated the facilities. All are brand new and clean.

Just the bed was soft and comfy
The host could of been more nicer was awkward with the key locking unlocking toilet and the room would be much easier with the card I informed that I was coming early as I traveled far that should consider to let the guest check in early. I won't be staying again. When it came to breakfast they served fruit salad some of it didn't taste fresh. Don't having microwave for the guest as the might bring food with them. The hours of breakfast should extend early the time as I was wanted to be out most of the time.

The location is perfect for walking without having to drive anywhere.
The room and en-suite were comfortable.
The fresh fruit salad every morning was a lovely bonus. Nice to be able to choose how the eggs at breakfast were cooked.
It was a bit quiet at breakfast! Maybe some music would be nice!

The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The location was superb. We especially enjoyed playing darts. The iced water was a godsend in the warm weather. Plenty of choice for tea and coffee etc. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Plenty to do in Tintagel and the surrounding area
Only downside was the TV didn't work. But that was just the location. The hosts did their best to get it to work. There was plenty to do without it though

Location, cleanliness, friendly owners, excellent fruit salad for breakfast! comfortable bed, period features
Very steep stairs so hard to carry up luggage.
Slightly stale smell in entrance hall, both due to age and layout of building.
I would have liked a small easy chair but the single room was too small.

Stunning view from my room
Comfortable bed
Clean
The smell of the place, cigarette smoke(?)
The attitude when they mistakenly thought I’d taken the room key on checkout- tired at the end of season?
The quality of the food, although generous in quantity
