I am very impressed.

I am very satisfied with my stay in this place. The host Mr. Nyoman is really kind, respectful and caring towards his visitors. I felt like I was a part of a family during the trip. He also suggests activities that you could do during your stay in Ubud. I highly recommend this place! ❤️💯

Good option for a couple of nights if you plan to spend most of your time outside.

The location is good, the host is polite, breakfasts are tasty, and the view from the kitchen is lovely.

However, it was uncomfortable that the windows faced directly onto the guest walkway, so the curtains had to stay closed all the time — it felt a bit like living in a cave. There’s no comfortable outdoor area to sit and relax, and although eating in the room is not allowed, there’s no proper place to eat — just a few chairs and a low table cluttered with brochures.

Great place, host is very kind and caring you get a fresh cooked breakfast every morning and he is very helpful with booking day trips. It’s in a great location in the centre of Ubud many great restaurants and cafes all within walking distance. 10/10 would stay here again

Central locations, very clean, lovely and simple breakfast.

While the owner tried to be helpful, he shouldn’t claim to be able to help me with bookings if he can’t actually deliver. I needed a fast boat to Nusa Penida but for some reason he kept suggesting a fast boat ticket to Gili ?

Great place to stay!

The host was lovely, he let us check in early and helped us with booking tours and renting bikes. The location was really central, walking distance from so many shops and restaurants. The room was very quiet and comfortable with good AC, we slept very well. Thank you!

Lovely place nearby the center.

The place was great with a privileged location, you can rent a motorbike and sightsee every beautiful place around. The bedroom had AC and a fan, enough to keep you fresh. Breakfast were different everyday and good. Nyoman the owner was always helpful.

Value in Ubud

A charming host in a lovely homestay who cooked breakfast, provided hot water for a cuppa and always made sure I was comfortable. My big room was the cleanest I have had in Bali for 6 weeks, the bed comfortable, a remote ceiling fan and air conditioning plus soap, shampoo and hot water in the bathroom. It was very quiet, but close enough to walk to the centre of Ubud. I would recommend this homestay and it definitely is value for money.

Very kind host. He made a great breakfast and was pleasant to talk to during my stay. Good location. It was a typical homestay in Bali.

The room had a patio outside of it and other guests would leave the light on which shone through the curtains at night. Bathroom was a bit cramped.

Perfect for the money.

It’s centrally located, easy to walk to main attractions, restaurants and shops. Warm host, and nice simple breakfast included.

Next door neighbor smoked and the smoked got in my room. Don’t appreciate that as a non smoker.

Good stay but atmosphere dependant on extras bought.

It is good accommodation for a good price, near to the centre of Ubud. We enjoyed the included breakfast and the room was comfortable and clean. The host and his family was friendly and gave us good information about Ubud and things to do.

We felt some pressure to book tours with Nyoman and felt the atmosphere changed after we didn’t as they were considerably more expensive than elsewhere since we saved 800k booking on the street for the same tours.

Well located, quiet, very affordable simple guesthouse.

Room was clean, wi-fi was good, location was great. Good shower with hot/cold water and you can't hear the noise from Ubud. The breakfast was freshly cooked, delicious and different every day. Excellent value for money, especially the rooms downstairs. I didn't take any of the tours offered but heard mixed reviews about them from other guests.

More than once I received comments of how early I left or how late I arrived. You feel some pressure to organise tours with them but I simply ignored these - at the end I felt there was some unspoken tension between the owner and myself. He is super friendly but at the end I felt he was simply tolerating my stay (maybe because I didn't want to upgrade room or take a tour with him).

Our host was friendly and helpful with any enquiry we had. It is excellent value for money, the place was exceptionally clean and the breakfast was delicious! We learnt a lot about the Balinese culture and are so grateful for our stay at Wahwik’s house. Thank you for having us.

Good for single travelers

room is big enough for one person, very quiet in the night. Location is good, near to monkey forest and ubud palace, many restaurants and messages. Staffs are friendly, the breakfast was great, different every day.

It should be better If fridge and hair dryer can be provided.

Lovely

The place is homey and it’s close to a lot of restaurants. And waling distance to monkey forest. We don’t kmow how to ride a scooter so we save a lot of money staying here as we don’t always need to hire a gojek. Walking distance in Ubud market as well. The bfast is good. The beds are big and the ac is working well, so cold actually. If you’re looking for a sign to book this is it. Worth your money.

What a great 5 nights stay at Wahwik's House! 😊

Everything was great at Wahwik's house! Highly recommended! Location is perfect esp if you like Ubud type of vibe. My friend and I enjoyed our stay. It exceeded our expectation esp the cleanliness and its welcoming ambience. People are nice and friendly most especially Nyoman and his wife. A budget friendly 5 nights stay and we were very happy. Monkey forest is just around the corner and other Ubud popular spots. My friend had her cooking class with the owner's wife and she had a good time cooking balinese food. Also, we loved the free breakfast in the overlooking kitchen on the 3rd floor, the green scenery was very relaxing. We also availed the whole day tour managed by Nyoman and it was all set with no hassle. Overall, we had a comfortable stay. Thanks to Nyoman and his wife for a wonderful hospitality. It was a home away from home. Til next time 😊

Exceptional

The location of the property is amazing, right in the center of Ubud but in a side street that makes it quiet and calm. The host is incredibly kind and makes the most amazing breakfasts. We stayed for 6 nights and could easily stayed longer, we will certainly return when we visit Ubud again.

Being rushed to check out early ruined the stay.

There are hangers, tissues, and a table provided.

- Overall, it's okay, but the landlord keeps rushing you to check out. First, they say you have to leave by 11:00, and then they send a message at 11:30 to hurry you up. If they want to clean early, they could set the check-out time to 11:00, but the time listed on Booking is 12:00, which feels like a scam. - The bathroom smell lingers and takes a while to dissipate. - The breakfast portion is not sufficient.

Good location in the city. Easy to get to places from there. Good breakfast. Kind, cheerful owner. Comfy bed. Spacious shower. Nice view from top floor. Good WiFi. Very clean. Quiet. No roosters nearby. Close to plenty of restaurants, markets, shops, the Sacred Monkey Forest, the Palace and a handful of museums…

Ice cold shower. It Never got warm 🥶 I was on the ground floor, to get Up to my room there is a 2-foot step up. I literally climbed up. Also, I only made it to the top floor once. It was exhausting climbing all those stairs. They’re narrow and dangerous. No thanks!

nyomen was super nice, on time and helped with anything I asked for. :) The room is big, clean and the breakfast area has a great view. Additionally to that the location is perfect, close to everything but quit! Price value is here on point! Definitely coming back!

The warmth and hospitality of Nyoman. I have stayed at numerous homestays with amazing hosts but Nyoman takes it up a notch. He helped me get a sim card, bike rental and arranged Mt Batur trek. He also cooks amazing breakfast personally everyday morning!

Nice stay overall

The room was clean and nice, the bed was comfortable. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and we especially liked the breakfast, that changed every morning. Also the view from the kitchen was quite nice.

The location of the homestay was a bit far from the center of the city by foot. Also the bathroom door didn’t close, but it didn’t really bother us.

A great place and an even better host

The host was amazimg. He helped us with anything we needed, and went beyond his normal duty as a host to get things done. The property is in a great location plus the room was really comfortable.

Only thing i can say is the shower faced the toilet which made it a bit difficult to shower.

Amazing place in Ubud! The perfect location, and Noyman is a great host. He sorted out Mt Batur trip at a great price, booked our transfers to Nusa Lembongan, gave us scooter rides that matched Grab prices when needed. He’s an amazing cook and we got a delicious breakfast each day that was different every day. great views from the kitchen! the rooms are clean, modern yet traditional, perfect A/C, hot shower. We would definitely choose to stay here again (in fact we tried but it was booked up so definitely book with time to spare!)

Fantastic stay!

A very friendly host who was able to provide a lot of helpful information about the area and various places of interest. A few different breakfast options with a nice roof top dining area, a great place to meet other guests. The room was spacious, clean and had both AC and fan options. Great wifi. A very comfortable stay.

Very handy location. Helpful hosts, quiet down a lane from main road. Lovely food, different breakfast every day, good quality - fruit, main dish, tea/coffee. Aircon & fan in room, strong, sometimes too cold! Nice outside patio but a bit hot to stay out long!

Room very small, tight fit with overseas baggage which just had to sit on floor. No chair in room, just bed & a bench top cupboard for bits & pieces. Bathroom very minimalist, but adequate. But not expensive so overall good value for the money we paid.
