Great location and value for money

I booked the room last minute, but still was possible to checkin. Thank you so much and sorry for waking you up! It was a short stay, cause I arrived late and left early, but it is super nice host and very good location. In traditional Balinese house surrounded by temples. I love the vibe!

Great stay, great location.

Loved this place, nice owners, very helpful, the room was lovely and clean and great to have a nice balcony with tea and coffee facilities. I also have to give the bed a big thumbs up. One of the most comfortable during my stay in Indonesia.

Wonderful stay in a clean beautiful guesthouse

Putu and her family are very welcoming and helpful. The room is clean, comfortable, practical and nice. The bathroom is clean too. The guesthouse is close to the center (walking distance) and to plenty of shops and restaurants. Scooter rental available too. I will be coming back.

Perfect location with spacious rooms

The location is perfect, tucked away in a small street so was quiet but close to the town. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcomed, beds very comfortable and shower was lovely with great pressure! There’s a lot of space in the room and the fan and AC were much appreciated! We took part in white water rafting which was only a 20 min drive away, and we also climbed mount Batur! Loved our stay in Ubud and would highly recommend this place.

Great location, good budget option, very kind staff

Great location in central Ubud. You can walk to anything. But still quiet and private because it's down a lane way, away from the street noise. Staff very warm and kind!

The room I got was quite dark, in the corner, view was of another wall outside. A lot smaller than the photos. For $30/night you're still doing good, but I booked it for the views over the rooftops that I saw in other people's reviews. I didn't find out if there was breakfast somewhere, but on my second morning there were bananas left for me outside my room which was really nice.

Comfortable in many ways and good value for money

We liked everything about the stay, 1. The location in Ubud for us was very good it’s 15 minutes walking to the busier part of the city and quiet enough to relax later in the day. Also has lots of good options for food in the area. 2. The property was very nice the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. 3. The hosts are a lovely family that treated us very well taking care of us with a lot of attention. I would stay here again if I was in ubud

Budget room near Yoga Barn. Has all the basics you need.

Very central location - I chose this hotel as it was a walking distance to Yoga barn and Radiantly Alive Yoga studio. I was out the whole day so I didn’t need much facilities. What I wanted was a clean bed, a shower and aircon. WiFi was sufficient. Despite being near a very busy central location it was very quiet, so I slept well.

Calm and central rooftop homestay

Clean comfortable and conveniently located right in the middle of Ubud and easy walking distance everywhere. I loved being up in the rooftops and the sense of calm despite being close to all the busy streets outside. Lovely family and relaxed stay. I recommend it.

Really great, convenient location in the heart of ubud. 10 minute walk to the yoga barn, with lots of places to eat nearby. It was also in a little side street, so nice and quiet for getting to sleep.

Depending on what room you get, the ones on the lower level are quite dark inside. The top floors are meant to have excellent views and plenty of light.

Convenient and Clean

During my visit to Ubud, I stayed in four different accommodations. Umah Anila was the only one that was dry and mold-free. 🙂 My room was small but comfortable.

Noise can be a an issue here as the rooms are close together and share a common balcony.

Great location with great hosts

The guesthouse is very well centrally located. The hosts (Mrs Putu and her family) are very kind, helpful, and friendly. The included breakfast is adequate, more than enough to start the day. The room is spacious and very clean. This is our go-to guesthouse when we visit ubud.

Not flexible with check in/out. I asked to check out 2 hours later (it was 11.30 in the morning already) and while the room wasn’t booked they said no, just in case they had a last minute booking.

I loved my stay here. The most lovely hosts. Very clean room with a charming balcony where I enjoyed coffee every morning. Great location in the heart of Ubud yet very peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend!

Comfortable, safe, amazing location and a lovely family!

Everything!! It was an amazing stay, and we loved the location, we walked everywhere, there was no way to get lost the people are all nice and the family where we stayed was very friendly and helpful, they give you your space but if you need anything they are just a WhatsApp msg away. They have a small little tuck shop on the bottom to buy something to drink or eat. The beds are the most comfortable beds that we slept in in our entire 10days trip! I did not book with the breakfast, so cannot say anything about the breakfast but every morning when we wake up there was a flask outside our door with hot water for tea and coffee, there was no milk but when asked they will bring it to you, this was very sweet! It was not the most beautiful place, but we felt like family, and it was more than enough for us, as we were out most of the day for shopping and exploring! We did not need anything more than a very well looked after, comfortable, clean and safe space to sleep! They change the bedding every day and we felt so bad for all that washing, a suggestion will be to change the bedding every 2 or 3 days to safe some work for themselves, but it was good and so comfortable to come home to a clean room! The location is great and walking distance from basically everything! We will definitely be back to stay here again!!

We might want 2 towels in the room instead of one. And maybe a bottle of drinking water "free" in the room, a small fridge to put some stuff in and as a lady a full-length mirror :-) Other than that everything was perfect!!

Great value. Simple, comfortable, quiet, and clean.

Excellent value, an unlike many value places to stay in Ubud, there was no musty smell. It was simple, clean, and very hospitable. I would gladly stay again. The hosts are a family who could not be more gracious and kind. There is a lovely koi pond that lends a peaceful touch, as well. My curtain rod fell at one point and it was fixed immediately.

It is a foam mattress, not spring, which is fine for me. Also, my room was on the third floor and there's no elevator, which might be an issue for some.

Amazing value for money and gracious hosts

As every review seems to mention, the location is indeed great, situated very close to the centre of Ubud, but set back far enough so that the noise of traffic is only a faint sound in the background, never annoying. The view from the majority of the rooms is also great. The picture of the guesthouse from the outside that shows the surrounding buildings can give a good overview of what it's going to be like when you are here. The hosts are very attentive and hospitable. The guesthouse is run by one family. They are very kind and caring people. Rooms are simple, yet clean and comfy. AC works alright. Finally, the value for money is truly remarkable. It might be slightly above average price for an Ubud guesthouse, but it is totally worth it, the quality to price ratio is amazing. The room does not have a kettle, but the hosts can bring a thermos of hot water every morning.

Only thing that might be missing is a mini fridge in the room.

The best views in central Ubud.

At Umah Anila I found a heaven after two months of travelling! Having coffey and breakfast in the morning on the beautiful balcony with (no doubts) the best views in Ubud. Going to Yogabarn just around the corner every day. Staying in a spacious and clean room with good aircon. Sleeping in an extremely comfortable bed with soft sheets. The family here are kind and honest people, who provide an impeccable service to their guests. They picked me up very late the airport. They make me feel so welcomed and cared for. No pressure. Shop on the property. Good warung and a spa next door. These guys seem to be doing everything right and of course I extended my stay! In my experience as a long time solo female traveller this is the best place to stay in central Ubud. With the best views. It is simply luxury on a budget.

Nice guest house, good staff and room

Nice guest house in the heart of Ubud, near Monkey forest and all services. Still it was peaceful, cause it's not by the streets. Staff (=family) organized me everything I know to ask. Nice room, good shower and very good wifi (I watched live sports - worked well!) It's very possible that I go back there some day

The lock of the glass-doors is not so good (not problem for me - I carry most important things with me), but still I feel it was a safe place Some stain on the bedspread, but sheets and pillows were very clean as whole room

Fantastic stay in the heart of Ubud

Really great stay in the heart of Ubud. Location was perfect. There is amazing restaurant 5 meters from this place called Warung. The room was very comfortable with air conditioning and fantastic view of Ubud center. The breakfast was delicious: fresh fruits and banana pancakes (our favourite) or omlets or scrabled eggs. The family running this place is very friendly and very comitted. The great value for money. We will stay here if we are in Ubud again.

Everything wonderful

Everything is good. The host was kind to fulfill my request and response promptly. Superb wifi. Delicious Banana Pancake in the balcony. The location is so easy to walk about either for restaurants or sightseeing. We do not need any transport to get around. There is a bus stop just along the main road which is very affordable to travel outside Ubud.

Nothing that we dislike at all.. But just for extra information, be prepared to lug the luggage to the homestay, and to climb up stair to the unit.
