It's an interesting apartment, but it will only be worth the price once the buildings facade is done

Location

The air con wasn’t working for the 1st two days and the apt was very cold. It smelled of damp and cement. We were told that the large terrace would be available to us, and only the facade near the small balcony was under renovation. In fact, the large terrace was also completely under renovation and inaccessible.

The kitchen was very small but ample for our needs, no dishwasher as we were there for 11 days and eating in So it would have been very useful. A tv in the bedroom would have been good

Terrible Experience – Avoid Apartamentos Orfeo Azul in 2025 and 2026 We had an awful stay at Apartamentos Orfeo Azul and had to leave early due to extremely loud renovation noise that made the apartment unlivable. At no point before or during booking were we informed about ongoing noise of construction with a jack hammer at outlr apartment balcony. The noise was so disruptive we couldn’t even hear each other speak inside the apartment. To make matters worse, we woke up one morning to find male construction workers standing on our balcony at 8AM—completely invading our privacy. We had just opened the curtains when we saw them right there. Absolutely unacceptable. When we complained, the only “solution” offered was to move to another floor—but only if we paid a significant additional fee. They were difficult and unhelpful when we tried to resolve the issue. We ended up leaving and paying out of pocket for a new hotel. This was a massive inconvenience and expense that could have been avoided if they had been upfront. Avoid this place at all costs in 2025 and 2026. Based on our experience, this accommodation is misleading and operates with very little regard for guest comfort or transparency.

Nice Apartments Internally but be aware of the Noisy External Works Facade

Interior of property was recently renovated and was very comfortable. 5 minute walk to the beach promenade.

External facade is being refurbished so very noisy Monday to Friday. Works start at 8 o’clock in the morning. If you want to spend time in the apartment you will need to be prepared to deal with the construction works.

Nothing. These apartments should not be open while construction is under way. We were told the facade was under rehabilitation... not that we could not go into our balcony as it was a danger zone... even though the doors could be open. Not that we would be woke by men on our balcony at 8am with a cargo hammer looking in and not that you couldn't sit at the pool as you may get rubble dropped on you and couldn't hear yourself talk with the noise. Contacted booking.com, got a lovely gentleman 1st who couldn't hear me speak with the cargo hammer and agreed it was ridiculous. Was told I would be rang back in 30 mins which I wasn't . I rang again 4 hours later, spoke to Rachal who had no empathy at all and sent an email to say the apartment owner would not refund or move us we had no choice but to move, costing us alot of additional money which we had not budgeted for. We had a lady who had just been diagnosed with cancer whom we all wanted to take away to cheer up; I can tell you it did the opposite. I cant express me disappointed. I could write a novel about this trip it was so bad

Absolutely awful

The property was nice and good location

The staff were awful very rude, had our booking date wrong even though we had the email in black and white. The lady had us arrive there with 4 children at 1am stranded and no where to stay and told us to leave until the next day as checking wasn’t till 4pm. No where to go, all other hotels fully booked resulting in us with our 4 children having to stay on the beach till the next day. Absolutely awful service, no remorse for our upset children. Never again!

Balcony was blocked off with scaffolding for renovations which we were not informed of (it says on booking.com some are but we were never informed ours was). Construction started at 8am each morning. Host was also unwelcoming and a €200 deposit is required in cash

Extremely disappointed and wouldn't return.

Location of the property was good, easy access to the beach, great views and transport links.

I am never one to leave bad reviews but this was awful. I booked and paid for a modern open plan 2 bedroom apartment but was advised on arrival that the balcony had scaffolding surrounding it due to the exterior renovations to the building taking place and therefore was not useable. I was not advised prior to my arrival of the exterior building work going on and how it would affect my booking. I was offered an alternative apartment which i was told the equivalent of what i had booked and the balcony was accessible. I chose this apartment. Upon arriving in the apartment it was clearly not the equivalent of what i had booked. It was much smaller and was much older in décor and facilities i.e. Kitchen and bathroom. Within minutes of being in the apartment we could hear drilling which was from the adjacent apartment which upon investigation was having renovation works done and had builders in. Upon going on the balcony we had to endure all the dust from the works going on next door and was restricted in opening the patio doors when they were working due to this. The pool was also surrounded with temporary fencing preventing you from sitting on the grass area in order to enjoy the pool. I didn't see one person using this in the 7 days we were there. Sun loungers are provided in your apartment which you have to transport downstairs in the smallest lifts in order to sit anywhere around the pool. I complained to the property managing company in charge of issuing the keys and was advised there was nothing they could do. I complained to Booking.com immediately as i would of accepted a refund and booked somewhere else but was advised that we was given an alternative solution ( which was the apartment we was staying in) and that nothing more would be done. As a result of the above we spent as little time in the accommodation as possible and was disappointed in the response we received from the managing agents we collected the keys from as they clearly did not care.

Perfect location for beach and pool. Close to Marina.

Perfect location 5 minute walk from the marina and across the promenade from the beach. Lovely pool which was quiet during our stay. Debbie the agent has an office close by and is very helpful.

We had a pleasant stay in a well-appointed apartment in a very good location.

The apartment was well provisioned with a separate kitchen and shower room. It's on the 6th floor and there's a very good sea view from the living room and balcony. There is aircon in the living room and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. The kitchen has a hob, microwave, oven, kettle and toaster. The apartment is less than 5 minutes walk to the lovely traffic-free promenade overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, with lots of bars and restaurants. We had very good support from the agents. Although the aparthotel had a pool, we didn't make use of it.

Occasionally there was traffic noise from the nearby main road.

Loved this apartment 1101 it was pretty amazing, between the two balconies front and back you get all day sun. Debbie was great to deal with and was on hand if needed. A real pleasure to deal with.

Lovely resort, disappointing accommodation

It far from the marina and beach

Very basic, apartment was capacity of 4 but only had 2 wine glasses and bottle open that didn’t work. 2 broken sun loungers that you had to carry yourself downstairs to the pool area that had red tape surrounding it however as they were broken ended up paying for a bed at the beach. When I informed the host about the broken sun beds was told they already knew about it. Very uneasy about the 200 euro cash deposit we have had to leave. Let’s see how quickly that is returned to my back account.

Lovely week in a good apartment with 4 adults. There are no proper wardrobes but ok for a week.

Location excellent and quiet even though it is set back from the main road . Keys were left in a key safe and code sent to me.

Debbie was very helpful. The apartment is very clean and central to all amenities, ATM machine, bus stop, supermarket, pub, restaurants. the marina is about 10/15 minutes walk.

We arrived at our destination early but couldn’t access the apartment until 4.30. But we accidentally met a guy who was working in the complex at the time we arrived and he allowed us to lock our suitcases away till 430pm. Which was very helpful as the day we arrived was very hot. There is a €300 deposit required on arrival, this is returned when you leave, providing there is no damage to the property. This can be a shock if you don’t know about it (but it is stated when booking.)

Relaxing week with my sister.

We loved the quietness around the pool and the easy access to the promenade and restaurants. We felt safe and secure and as usual Debbie in reception was brilliant. We had a two bedroom apartment which was very spacious and clean and had a washing machine, iron etc, everything we needed.

The apartment we stayed in was very recently refurbished and there were no sun loungers for the balcony or pool but they just hadn't been delivered in time and we managed well without them
