Borgo Amarrante

Mooie accomodatie gelegen in een schitterend landschap.

Enig minpuntje was dat er geen strijkvoorziening aanwezig was. Voorzover ik me kan herinneren stond dit wel opgesomd bij de faciliteiten.

Wir hatten einen schönen, erholsamen Aufenthalt. Die Ferienwohnung liegt abseits in einer ruhigen Lage auf einem Weingut. Sie hat einen sehr schönen, sauberen Pool mit einem herrlichen Panorama und traumhaften Sonnenuntergängen. Es sind genug kostenlose Parkplätze vorhanden. Die Besitzer waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit und haben sich sehr um uns bemüht.

Soggiornare a Borgo Amarrante è stata una boccata d'ossigeno nel vero senso della parola. Immerso nel cuore delle colline toscane, la prima cosa che colpisce è l'incredibile qualità dell'aria e la sensazione di pace assoluta che circonda l'intera struttura.Il processo di fast self check-in è stato impeccabile: moderno, rapido e senza stress, ideale per chi cerca autonomia e vuole iniziare la vacanza immediatamente. Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo la piscina, pulita e con una vista mozzafiato, perfetta per rinfrescarsi dopo una giornata trascorsa a esplorare i dintorni. Un connubio perfetto tra efficienza tecnologica e bellezza rurale. Consigliatissimo per chi vuole staccare la spina nel comfort totale.

The grounds are very well kept. It's a very nice and authentic Borgo in the middle of nature. We had our dog with us and were able to take some lounge chairs from the pool area to create our own relax area just outside the pool area. We were staying in "La Stalla" the downstairs apartment. It was very nice and cool inside, despite it being 30+ degrees outside. Upon arrival there was a welcome package with ingredients to make a pasta which was thoughtful. It's about a 25-minute walk (uphill) to the town which is very convenient.

We felt like the property lacked a certain hospitality. On the day that we were supposed to check-in, we received a message asking what time we would arrive. Despite agreeing on a time, we still had to wait 45 minutes before someone could check us in and show us the apartment. The lady that checked us was friendly enough, but unfortunately she only spoke Italian. No worries, we figured a lot of things out ourselves, but it was not the warm Tuscan welcome that we are used to on our holidays in Italy. During our entire stay, we saw no staff member or someone that seemed to belong to the property, other than the gardener. We thought this was a bit strange. It would have been nice for someone to check in with us, to ask if everything was going well and someone that we could ask for some recommendations for dinner, vineyards/olive groves etc. At check out, we did not see a staff member either. I asked the gardener what to do with the key. There was no one to ask us how our stay was, to give the key to and to wish us a safe trip. We thought this was all very disappointing. The little apartment itself was nice. It was pretty basic, but that is to be expected. It would have been nice to have some extra shades/curtains. Because of the glass wall between the living room and the bedroom, sunlight hits the apartment at 5:30am and it gets very bright. For a wine and olive oil farm, we thought it was a missed opportunity not to be able to sample and buy any of the goods. It was at least not offered to us. There was no hand soap/ shower gel provided, nor was there a cloth to dry our diishes. We also only got 1 toilet roll for our entire stay. The pillows were very flat. I would have liked an extra pillow, but none was to be found and no one around to be asked for one.
