Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in der Villa Lena. Der Anfahrtsweg ist holprig. Wir kamen später an als angekündigt, aber die liebe Alessia hat uns mit viel Freundlichkeit empfangen. Also das Personal ist wirklich herzlich und sehr aufmerksam!
Die Lage ist fantastisch, eine ruhige Oase in der Toskana und eignet sich perfekt für einen kurzen Rückzug aus der Großstadt.
Die Zimmer sind groß und sehr gemütlich. Da die Zimmer nach Osten ausgerichtet sind, konnten wir aus unserem Bett einen fantastischen Sonnenaufgang betrachten. Auch das Frühstück war toll ! Das Restaurant hat einen besonders charmanten Charakter

Beautiful, secluded grounds, fairly quiet and nothing like being on a resort which felt really special. The apartment where we stayed was really well equipped (would have loved a high chair though) and the staff are really friendly. The creative workshops are a wonderful addition and help break up pool time, there is also the option of yoga / pasta workshops. Its not overdeveloped and you sense they could make more money if they tried to squeeze more guests in, added a spa etc- the fact it is as understated as it is makes it feel quite a discrete and luxurious place to be - it is not "glam" which is perhaps what some of the other reviewers expected, but we liked that. The breakfasts were wonderful and a real highlight, I really looked forward to them - a mix of healthy and indulgent options.
The food at the restaurant is a good standard but expensive. 16 euro for an appetiser of zucchini crostini on our last night seemed far too much, for example. The service is also slow and very hit and miss, which others have noted. The team are really lovely, but waiting 40 mins for your drinks to be served or having to keep asking for things e.g. olive oil, menus etc is quite annoying and not befitting the price point. It was similar with reception who seemed very willing but didn't follow up as they said they would and forgot to make one of our restaurant bookings. We stayed there for a week and ate at the restaurant 5 times, we were very bored of the menu by the end so for that reason if we returned it would be for max five days. We also stayed in Renacchi and the walk to the main villa / restaurant was partly on the road which was not ideal with small children. It would be great to see them create a footpath all the way.
