Il Pozzo Apartment

Loved the location, the ambience, the comfort of the apartment (kitchen, furniture, spacious bedroom, bathroom). Good information provided about the town and the property. Loved the heat pump in the bedroom as that enabled us to be warm enough in the apartment.

The heating (apart from the bedroom heat pump) was externally controlled and we were cold a lot of the time unless we used lap blankets provided or sat in the bedroom with the heat pump on. We had read reviews about this so knew it was going to happen. We were in Sam G in a very cold spell where temps in the day were about 14 degrees C max so we would have had to leave the apartment and find somewhere else if we did not have the bedroom heating. That said, the apartment location was fantastic and we had a great visit. Our only other negative was the stairs. We had asked about stairs as my husband has very dodgy knees and were warned about stairs up into apartment BUT there were also stairs into bedroom, stairs into bathroom and stairs into kitchen. Young people without knee problems don’t realise the significance of our questions. The TV was old and not smart.

We appreciated how Patrizio actively communicated to arrange for our arrival. Possibility to park car in the garage nearby is a real bonus and make our stay in San Gimignano parking hassle free.

Someone might find ventilation in the bathroom a bit noisy, but it is bearable.

A truly exceptional stay. The apartment is absolutely stunning, with beautiful exposed stone and brick that give it so much character. The location couldn’t be better, perfectly situated within easy walking distance to shops/restaurants. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is both charming and practical - we found ourselves using it every day. Despite the heat outside, the apartment remains wonderfully cool, making it a perfect retreat. The terracotta floor tiles were a highlight for us (and our dog loved them too!), and the kitchen window offers a truly breathtaking view - such a special touch. We also rented the garage, which was fantastic and made our stay even more convenient - a real bonus in this location. Carolina was a wonderful host, warm and welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay again! :)
